I wanted to change my carb membranes, and could not find anyone else except you filming the carb removal. You saved me from giving up !! Thank you so much. Especially you said that, first time, it might be impressive but be confident... so I pursued and I did it😃 !!!! Thanks Thks Thx from a french gal you love wood. Now my Husqvarna is as new. 👍👍👍
@@jensbondgaard8622 the 346xp is the rockstar among the 50cc saws. With a little bit of work they can wind up to 15k rpm no problem. Nobody raves about the 353 like they do the 346xp. Thats the top end i like for these builds. Its a legendary saw imo.
@@jensbondgaard8622 not a problem! Ive done did about 6 or 7 of these 44.3mm builds. In the future i plan to give the 353 top end a try on one. See what i can do with one of those builds.
Why? The 353 e-tech has a 1.7 cc larger displacement that the 346XP. You're going backwards. The sharper chain would be the advantage to either model. The XP runs a little faster . . . but only a tiny bit faster. Maybe 8%. Easier to buy a new & larger chainsaw than all that. I have an 18 year old 353 e-tech that keeps feeding the boiler and wood stove. Great saw as it is.
Quite simple. The 346 is the Rockstar not the 353. Number 2, that's what the customer wanted, he knows just as well as I do. #3, we're talking 50cc saws correct? So why even mention the larger saw comment? Makes not a lick of sense. But to answer your question, that's why. Thanks lol
I'll paint a picture for ya follow me here... the 346xp makes more horsepower than the 353. Also makes more horsepower than a husqvarna 460 rancher. Which is a 60cc saw. Ya gotta do your research man...more cc don't automatically make it more powerful. I know what the hell I'm doing
@StumpkillerCP you have yourself a merry little Christmas bud. Tjis is the part where I'm gonna have to sign off let ya try n catch up with the conversation lol cus you're obviously clueless
Exacly what is the difference of these saws? Ive got a jonsered 2152, but want to convert it to 53, and i cant get the dealers to tell me how many parts i need. U seem experienced
The only difference is the cylinder and Pistons. Case is exactly the same. All you need is the 346xp cylinder and piston. I'd recommend a metal intake clamp if ya don't have that already.
I have a realy mint 346xpg NE. And a unused 2152. I want to make it a 2153, and Even buy the house cover that shows2153, Just so itl be true 😄 so ill have someone dismantle the 346xpg and put it over the 52. Just hope they will be as malticilous as you were
Hey again heh, Something strange happend, the dealer`s small engine mechanic, whos a veteran and our local pro to say it in that way, tried to replace my cylinder and piston today. I owe a 2152 jonsered, or a 353 if you will. the new parts was a un-original 346xpg, or a 2153 cylinder and piston. he told me : the original inside my 2152 was a 45cc, and the one i wanted inside the jred, the (346xpg) was a 44.5cc so he said he couldnt fit them could it just be as simple as someone just sent me a wrong cyclinder? x) anyhow, good evening :) PS: Could it also be that there are different year models with slight modifications between the saws?
It's really hard for me to help ya without seeing anything in person. You want the 44.3 millimeter cylinder kit though. If that's what you have it will work
I dont work at a shop i just work on them and build em cus i like to work on em man. Just like saws y'know. Im glad ya like em. Ill be posting lots more. Do a lotta repairs n rebuilds.

Very nice video, thank you taking time showing us uow to do. 😊
I bought a new one from Ukraine. Beautiful machine!
It is a aftermarked cylinder. OEM has the husky logo on the 2 lids on the sides.
I have the 353 and daddy’o the 346xp. No big difference. Does the 346xp has more grunt or why the chance?

True. Did some porting to my 353, runs pretty well. Maybe I will inherit the 346xp one day😊
Thanks for top video.

So you put all that added power in a saw designed around lower and slower. I guess that makes sense to you.
