The city has been transformed from a sleepy village to a lively tourist center, so you will not feel quite like you are at the end of the world. The scenic landscape around the city, with good outdoor sports including one of the southernmost winter sport resorts in the world complete with a view to the sea, make Ushuaia a place worth visiting.

Look at all this German and Northern Italian European architecture. Its like a bunch of Germans and Italians moved there, displaced native population, and built the place in image of Alpine and Tyrrelian Alps towns. Amazing! How did that happen?
It is Nordic architecture, for the most part.

don’t misinform, Ushuaia isn’t the southernmost city of the world.
Since the year 2019, Puerto Williams is the southernmost city of the world, because pass from being a Town to a City, due the growth they had, legally and constitutionally by the Chilean State, also being the capitol of the Antarctic Chilean region 👍.

I agree. Although the Chilean city is further south, Ushuaia's title carries a lot of significance. Puerto Williams desperately needs more tourism investment.

@@jaimearismendi8990 Pueden llamarlo como quieran, pero en los hechos es un pueblo. Le dieron el título de ciudad solamente por querer sacárselo a Ushuaia, pero la realidad es que Pto. WiIliams es un pueblito que no llega ni a a los 5000 habitantes, mientras que Ushuaia es una ciudad propiamente dicha, con casi 100.000 habitantes y un desarrollo económico, industrial, cultural y científico propios.
Ah.....its a Western colonialist tourist trap. AHHHH...................
