PLDT is the Worst Internet Provider in the World Last October 2019, both our Internet and Phone lost connection but our account was paid before due date. They dispatched the technician which restored the connection after 6 days. Since then from November 2019 to February 2020, we lost the Internet on the Average of 3 Days even if our Bills Payment were Paid before due date. They charged me Full Payment every month even if we lost the Internet for many days. I write this review now because we lost the Internet again since yesterday with Service Ticket #32826626 and they promise that technicians will fix it from 3 to 6 days. Stay away from PLDT because it is worse than the Corona virus and I am looking now for a new ISP in Laguna.

oh gosh.. this is so true.. I hate PLDT and their greed. Every time our internet gets slower than usual or when we call them to make a complaint about our internet speed, there is always an offer for a new plan.. To HELL with them.
Ito, sa wakas naka-CONVERGE na kami. Grabe.. sa PLDT.. 10-15 Days para makadownload ng 45% ng BF5.. sa Converge, isang hapon yung natitirang 55%. Walang kwenta talaga yung PLDT. At ito pa, nagpa-disconnect na kami ng internet, may seperation fee pa -_- Subscribers kami ng PLDT DSL for more than 7 years... at naging customer kami para sa landline nila for MUCH longer than that tapos ganyan yung trato nila sa amin.. PLDT Cares alright.. they only Care for your money. That is all.
...and a year later, Converge pa rin ba ang choice ng karamihan? I see a lot of customer complaints sa comments regarding PLDT and Globe. I have a unit in Arca South so I guess it is best to ask my neighbors.
I just checked Singtel's Website, one of Singapore's ISPs. They get 1GBps for $41.58/month which converts to around Php1,499. Which shows na talagang napapagiwanan na tayo. :(

With that kind of speed 25 mbps and only P1,500 per month who wouldnt want that kind of plan. I wish it will have it in LEYTE EASTERN VISAYAS. we only have globe, smart, pldt and sun.
Sky fiber has the same promo. But its not like converge and pldt na pantay ang upload ang download speed. Fiber Internet kasi ang PLDT and Converge. And VDSL/Cable Internet sila Globe and Sky Fiber. (although si Globe may pure fiber internet tulad ni PLDT and Converge. Konti nga lang ang mga locations na merong fiber box.)
I am currently a pldt home fibr subscriber and my only complain i have with pldt is the price. I would love to try converge but it's not yet available in my area.
Pldt is cheaper than converge. Pldt has 25mbps at 1899 and comes already with free landline and installation. While for converge 25mbps at 1500 no landline plus you have to shell out 4500 in installation fees. And pldt has another plan also, a 50mbps fibr at 1899 with 300gb datacap with free landline and installation also.
ung globe hindi nag apply ako sa Globe 1299 ang binayara ko for 4months 1890 tpos sumunod na singil nila 1490 3 months daw bago ako ma fix sa inapply ko na 1299 nakaka inis napaka bagal ng connection nyan mabilis pa sila pag mag sisingil 10 days before due date nag memessage na sa gmail ko.. pwede ko kaya yan ipa tangal na lang? or may kailangan pa ko bayaran? parusa eh may mga naka tagong bayarin.
the converge fiber is much faster due to the fact that they only serve in NCR area for now. but lets wait if they cover all region like pldt and globe. im sure the internet speed of converge will be drop. NCR are so lucky..
Converge company base is in Pampanga Clarkcom.,, meaning Northern Luzon is already covered by their services, and even the tycoon PLDT is one of their clients😏😏😏😏😏😏
Yep. Though may installation fee sa first month, and may bayad din kable in case lagpas 100 meters from source/pole/kung ano man siya. Sa experience ko, jusko, sa wire ako naiyak since malayo kami sa source, pero sulit naman
You forgot to mention na si Converge lang ang end-to-end "true" fiber connection. Si PLDT and Globe, select areas lang ung end-to-end fiber. Malalaman mong end-to-end fiber mo kapag very close ung up and down speed :)

Planning to switch to PLDT Fiber plan 1699 up to 15mbps pero may capping cya 150gb per month. Sulit kaya? Matagal nb maubos ang 150gb? Tatlo lang kami gumagamit sa haus. Tatlong phone, minsan on ang laptop at smart TV.

I tried having a Converge plan. Okay na lahat ng application and all, ikakabit na tapos pag punta nila sa bahay namin, ayaw nila ikabit kasi daw may small LPG retail shop kami sa labas ng bahay. Dapat daw business plan ang ipakabit which is 500 pesos more per month. I called and ask if the same logic applies kapag may maliit na sari sari store din sa labas ng bahay, ipapabusiness plan niyo rin? Oo daw. I ended up cancelling my application. Can anyone confirm na tama talaga ganito? Di naman gagamitin yung internet pang business, bakit kailangan ko mag pabusiness plan. Sana kung computer shop yung business namin.
Thanks. We just applied to PLDT Fibr and it's 50% off for those who are switching from other broadband companies (in our case Globe At Home). I hope, by God's grace, this is a prudent choice, going back to PLDT again. The fiber internet in other companies (especially the ones outside Metro Manila, that cater to the provinces, only like Royal Cable) are double the fiber internet speed and are almost the same price, I wonder why PLDT and Globe can't match those smaller companies, when it comes speed? This is crazy. I worked for AT&T for more than a year and sales/tech representative both have that information. We see how much the upload will be based on the download speed. And also fiber should offer the same speed for both upload & download.
They may all look similar on paper but they differ from each other in actual experience. I think it's more important to ask users in your area how their experience is with the 3 carriers.
New subscriber here. Sir tanong ko lang. Ano po yung lock in period na sinasabi?? can you enlighten me?? What I have now is the Globe Home Broadband 1299. mabagal sya talaga and I was thinking na magpa upgrade sa 1899 or 2499 ng globe. Kelangan ko kasi sa trabaho ko as homebased call center agent.
Lock in period meaning may contract ka for 24 months. Hindi mo pwede iterminate yung account mo. Pag pinaterminate mo may penalty ka or termination fee na babayaran.
I just wanna ask how download and upload varies kc according to my research di porket 20mbps ang offering ng isa eh 20mbps talaga makuha no kc depende daw yan sa devices kung ma virus lalabas na mabagal parin. Ang download at upload siguro magandang topic ito Paano nagvavary ang factors na ito.

i prefer Converge(Fiber) and PLDT (Fiber) over Globe (Fiber). i tried helping my cousin na naka globe ang hirap kausapin ang mga CSR/TSR nila parang mas limited pa sa limited kapang nagpapatulong ka ayusin at magpadispatch ng team kapag alam mo namang salabas ang may sira.
sa pldt nahihirapan ako makausap puro menu naririnig ko pero wala naman service nagsasalita puro menu kahit ano pindot ko wala sinbukan ko lahat un menu pero wala talaga yun callcenter
nag apply kami ng pldt fibr 25 1899 plan last may 16, sinabi nila na 1-2 weeks dadating ung technicians. then finollow up namin after mga 4 days kasi may dumating na technicians sa bahay namin to fix ung dial tone ng telephone namin and tinanong ko kung kelan nila ikakabit ung fibr namin and they said na di nila maikakabit ung cable lines sa bahay namin since looban kami. pero nag tataka kami kasi kapitbahay namin merong fibr so pumunta kami sa office nila to confirm it, and ang sinabi nila ay ichecheck pa nila. so we waited for a week ulit and nung friday (may 31) 2 weeks after namin mag apply, we decided na i follow up ulit ung application namin. sinabi samin na dadating daw ito in a week. and i decided also na kung one week di parin dumating ung fibr, we would cancel the application to apply naman sa converge. surprisingly, while sleeping ng mga 1pm, ginising ako ng mama ko kasi dumating na sila para ikabit ung fibr. eksaktong 2 weeks bago sila dumating. payo ko lang sa nag aapply for fibr, dapat masipag lng mag follow up dahil pwedeng matabunan ng iba ung application nyo. di pako makakapag bigay ng review sa pldt fibr since 1 week palang namin to nagagamit. ps. we have pldt dsl for 6 years before applying for fibr. maganda naman ung dsl not until last year kung san nag simula siya mag loko. nag didisconnect every 10mins very unstable. we tried to call their hotline number (171) and nag intay lng ako ng 45mins for them to pick it up until napagod nako kakaintay kaya binaba ko nalang. but ung fb page nila chinat ko about sa router ko kasi diko ma access ung 192.168.1.1 and im surprised na umaction agad sila which is surprising. i do not recommend having a dsl plan unless you don't have the budget to avail fibr.
Used Bayantel, PLDT and Globe, Converge is very recent for me. Bayantel - I had more than 3 yrs. of good customer service with bayantel. Even when I forgot to pay my bills, they reinstate overnight. Until it was bought by... Globe - very shady business practices, very bad contractors. They lie. I lost my internet for almost a month and technicians were closing work orders. They claim that they visit and that the issue was fixed. PLDT - Good technicians, service was pretty ok, until I had to move. It's very hard to get to a person that knew what was going on. Visited their store three months in a row, because they had the audacity to Bill me for Services that I can't use, because they fail to transfer. Still not moved, and so, I moved to... Converge - too early to say. I was lucky that they accommodated me a line even though the box was 3 blocks away from my place. That says a lot so far.
Same here. I started with Bayantel with only 1mbps unli data that time and stayed for 6 years with mininal problem. I like the service specially whenever I have technical concern - they act on it promptly. Not until it was bought out by Globe last 2018 where my 1mbps plan was migrated into 3mbps for the same price of 999php/month with free phone and unli data. At first it was good no problems not until Dec of 2019 when I started to have intermittent connection. Last January 2020, I was so fed up that I had to call every week on the same issue until I was advised that my problem was a hopeless case and I had to upgrade my plan to 5mbps for 1699php/month unli data to get a better service. I felt being robbed but I had no choice so I ended upgrading my plan last week of January 2020. But until now, I am still having intermittent connection. Multiple technicians went to my place but the unreliable speed has yet to be resolved - modem was replaced, checked the facility and the box. As a matter of fact, I tried accomplishing my PLDT application but I'm hesitant because I don't like the 3 years contract (but anyway, I wasted combined 8 years of money with Globe so what else to lose, right?). Not sure if moving to PLDT would be a good choice. My first option was Converge but our area in San Bartolome Nova QC is not serviceable yet. I just hope Globe to fix the issue coz if not, they are leaving me no choice but to move to PLDT.
Sira net namin sa bahay 11 days na wala parin pinapadalang technician pldt. Sabi nila 5 days max lang daw para maayos. Tapos mga supervisor nila sa hotline wala rin update kung kelan maayos.
Update as of May 2019 - I am now on UnliFiber 2499 w/ 50mbps speed. Nag offer sila sakin 150 pesos discount on first 6 months, loyal customer kasi. Reason ko po is 4k na kasi mga pinapanood ko so intense data talaga need ko. 1TB/month yung minimum... hahaha History: I've been with GLOBE for 4 years and all I can say that Globe is the best broadband provider. My connection is 50Mbps @ 1,899 pesos /600GB Data allocation (ayos na yung 600gb kasi di ko nauubos). Yung internet connection is running at full speed 24/7 then if may issues mabilis lang po may technician na within 24hours at Time of Repair is 3 days up to 7 days ang pinakamatagal pero the good thing is may credit po sa days na wala kang internet. Tama po yung review, the only cons is the sales or technical reps nila kasi minsan di alam yung product or services.

I can say na malaki epekto ng ginawa ng PLDT sa pagtanggal ng mga contractual employees nila. Yung PLDT Fibr namin na gamit sa internet cafe eh disconnected na for almost 2 months. Yung PLDT DSL & landline na gamit namin sa business eh disconnected for almost a month na. Mas ok pa yung local cable company dito sa Calamba reliable ang internet.
I work online and I need fast internet connection and I access 5 location around the world and I compare speed of other isp. D2 sa pinas I have pldt 200 plan. Converge 100 plan and smart LTE broadband as backup. Locally the best pa dn si pldt sa lahat ng aspect. pero sa ping lalo sa europe is the best ang smart broadband pero wala sya port forward that I need badly. May globe LTE sim dn ako as backup pero nd ko na tinuloy dahil mabagal sya talaga.
Medyo matagal na recently sumagot ang Call Center ni Converge dahil biglang dagsa ang subscriber nila... Sana magdagdag pa sila ng mga tao para maaddress ito.. Other than that Thumbs up for Converge... No problems for almost 3 years na.. Within 24 hours talaga inaaksyunan nila pag nagkakaproblem
In terms of gaming. Pldt talaga. Although hindi kami nakabitan dahil wala availLable port dito. Sticked with globe 1899. 3.5mbps dl 1.5mb up. 60-70ms pings ko.
Converge literally informed us when there is a problem in connection, mag tetext po sila at iinform hindi na po ang tao ang mag tatanong bakit wlang internet.. then pag bumalik na ang internet mag iinform ulit sila.. consistent po sila.. kaya di masiyadong nagagamit ang kanilang technical service because of good info.. di na kailngan pa gawin yung papatayin modem o anu pa dami pinapagwa wala padin naman internet.. that was my experience..
Pure fiber cable kase si converge from the main source up hanggang sa router mo. Kaya same ang up and download speed. Unlike kay PLDT at GLOBE, pure fiber from the source, pagdating sayo, copper na lang, which is way too mabagal and old compared to fiber cable.
Im using converge now plan 1500 25mbps.. here at santarosa laguna wala ako reklamo.. very satisfy ako sa speed and stable from pldt ultera plan 999 2mbps pina cut ko na

The only thing holding me na magpalit kay converge is hindi pwede bridge mode sa kanila. PLDT Fibr ako and I have my own networking equipment and their modem is sub standard and only good for delivering internet.
Recommended ko talaga sa inyo na Converge FiberX kunin niyo, No Data Capping (Unlimited Data) at napaka bilis pa, minsan mahirap kontakin ang Customer Service nila (Based on Experience) pero promisable yung Upload and Download Speed nila, at mura na yung 1,500 pesos with other Charges (Installation Fee and Modem Fee, correct me if I'm wrong) pero sulit na sulit talaga ito, sana wag sila matulad sa mga Telco na nakapabagal at kinukurakot ang mga Subscribers nila
Ang choises lang talaga is either Converge dahil sa masmataas na upload speed sa 3500php plan at yung 25mbs for 1500php or Globe dahil sa 2499php plan nila, sa Termination Price at sa mga Freebies.

I saw complaints about Converge too. Pero halos puro customer service lang. If about speed, solid naman.
Pldt has 100mbps speed and 1gbps speed plan but not advertised on their website. I think it can be found on their pldt enterprise website

I tried having a Converge plan. Okay na lahat ng application and all, ikakabit na tapos pag punta nila sa bahay namin, ayaw nila ikabit kasi daw may small LPG retail shop kami sa labas ng bahay. Dapat daw business plan ang ipakabit which is 500 pesos more per month. I called and ask if the same logic applies kapag may maliit na sari sari store din sa labas ng bahay, ipapabusiness plan niyo rin? Oo daw. I ended up cancelling my application.
Can anyone confirm na tama talaga ganito? Di naman gagamitin yung internet pang business, bakit kailangan ko mag pabusiness plan. Sana kung computer shop yung business namin.

Thanks. We just applied to PLDT Fibr and it's 50% off for those who are switching from other broadband companies (in our case Globe At Home). I hope, by God's grace, this is a prudent choice, going back to PLDT again.
The fiber internet in other companies (especially the ones outside Metro Manila, that cater to the provinces, only like Royal Cable) are double the fiber internet speed and are almost the same price, I wonder why PLDT and Globe can't match those smaller companies, when it comes speed? What's the explanation for a small provincial company like Royal Cable to outspeed and outprice, PLDT and Globe fiber internets?

This is crazy. I worked for AT&T for more than a year and sales/tech representative both have that information. We see how much the upload will be based on the download speed. And also fiber should offer the same speed for both upload & download.
Converge took a month and a half to respond to my email. We cancelled our application.

New subscriber here. Sir tanong ko lang. Ano po yung lock in period na sinasabi?? can you enlighten me?? What I have now is the Globe Home Broadband 1299. mabagal sya talaga and I was thinking na magpa upgrade sa 1899 or 2499 ng globe. Kelangan ko kasi sa trabaho ko as homebased call center agent.
Lock in period meaning may contract ka for 24 months. Hindi mo pwede iterminate yung account mo. Pag pinaterminate mo may penalty ka or termination fee na babayaran.

i prefer Converge(Fiber) and PLDT (Fiber) over Globe (Fiber). i tried helping my cousin na naka globe ang hirap kausapin ang mga CSR/TSR nila parang mas limited pa sa limited kapang nagpapatulong ka ayusin at magpadispatch ng team kapag alam mo namang salabas ang may sira.

nag apply kami ng pldt fibr 25 1899 plan last may 16, sinabi nila na 1-2 weeks dadating ung technicians. then finollow up namin after mga 4 days kasi may dumating na technicians sa bahay namin to fix ung dial tone ng telephone namin and tinanong ko kung kelan nila ikakabit ung fibr namin and they said na di nila maikakabit ung cable lines sa bahay namin since looban kami. pero nag tataka kami kasi kapitbahay namin merong fibr so pumunta kami sa office nila to confirm it, and ang sinabi nila ay ichecheck pa nila. so we waited for a week ulit and nung friday (may 31) 2 weeks after namin mag apply, we decided na i follow up ulit ung application namin. sinabi samin na dadating daw ito in a week. and i decided also na kung one week di parin dumating ung fibr, we would cancel the application to apply naman sa converge. surprisingly, while sleeping ng mga 1pm, ginising ako ng mama ko kasi dumating na sila para ikabit ung fibr. eksaktong 2 weeks bago sila dumating. payo ko lang sa nag aapply for fibr, dapat masipag lng mag follow up dahil pwedeng matabunan ng iba ung application nyo. di pako makakapag bigay ng review sa pldt fibr since 1 week palang namin to nagagamit.
ps. we have pldt dsl for 6 years before applying for fibr. maganda naman ung dsl not until last year kung san nag simula siya mag loko. nag didisconnect every 10mins very unstable. we tried to call their hotline number (171) and nag intay lng ako ng 45mins for them to pick it up until napagod nako kakaintay kaya binaba ko nalang. but ung fb page nila chinat ko about sa router ko kasi diko ma access ung 192.168.1.1 and im surprised na umaction agad sila which is surprising. i do not recommend having a dsl plan unless you don't have the budget to avail fibr.

Globe - very shady business practices, very bad contractors. They lie. I lost my internet for almost a month and technicians were closing work orders. They claim that they visit and that the issue was fixed.
PLDT - Good technicians, service was pretty ok, until I had to move. It's very hard to get to a person that knew what was going on. Visited their store three months in a row, because they had the audacity to Bill me for Services that I can't use, because they fail to transfer. Still not moved, and so, I moved to...
Converge - too early to say. I was lucky that they accommodated me a line even though the box was 3 blocks away from my place. That says a lot so far.
Same here. I started with Bayantel with only 1mbps unli data that time and stayed for 6 years with mininal problem. I like the service specially whenever I have technical concern - they act on it promptly. Not until it was bought out by Globe last 2018 where my 1mbps plan was migrated into 3mbps for the same price of 999php/month with free phone and unli data. At first it was good no problems not until Dec of 2019 when I started to have intermittent connection. Last January 2020, I was so fed up that I had to call every week on the same issue until I was advised that my problem was a hopeless case and I had to upgrade my plan to 5mbps for 1699php/month unli data to get a better service. I felt being robbed but I had no choice so I ended upgrading my plan last week of January 2020. But until now, I am still having intermittent connection. Multiple technicians went to my place but the unreliable speed has yet to be resolved - modem was replaced, checked the facility and the box. As a matter of fact, I tried accomplishing my PLDT application but I'm hesitant because I don't like the 3 years contract (but anyway, I wasted combined 8 years of money with Globe so what else to lose, right?). Not sure if moving to PLDT would be a good choice. My first option was Converge but our area in San Bartolome Nova QC is not serviceable yet.
I just hope Globe to fix the issue coz if not, they are leaving me no choice but to move to PLDT.

Sira net namin sa bahay 11 days na wala parin pinapadalang technician pldt. Sabi nila 5 days max lang daw para maayos. Tapos mga supervisor nila sa hotline wala rin update kung kelan maayos.

Update as of May 2019 - I am now on UnliFiber 2499 w/ 50mbps speed. Nag offer sila sakin 150 pesos discount on first 6 months, loyal customer kasi. Reason ko po is 4k na kasi mga pinapanood ko so intense data talaga need ko. 1TB/month yung minimum... hahaha
History: I've been with GLOBE for 4 years and all I can say that Globe is the best broadband provider. My connection is 50Mbps @ 1,899 pesos /600GB Data allocation (ayos na yung 600gb kasi di ko nauubos). Yung internet connection is running at full speed 24/7 then if may issues mabilis lang po may technician na within 24hours at Time of Repair is 3 days up to 7 days ang pinakamatagal pero the good thing is may credit po sa days na wala kang internet. Tama po yung review, the only cons is the sales or technical reps nila kasi minsan di alam yung product or services.

I can say na malaki epekto ng ginawa ng PLDT sa pagtanggal ng mga contractual employees nila. Yung PLDT Fibr namin na gamit sa internet cafe eh disconnected na for almost 2 months. Yung PLDT DSL & landline na gamit namin sa business eh disconnected for almost a month na. Mas ok pa yung local cable company dito sa Calamba reliable ang internet.
Kaya mabagal tech call at yung sale call kasi yung sa converge madami nagpapaconnect kaya matagal call

I work online and I need fast internet connection and I access 5 location around the world and I compare speed of other isp. D2 sa pinas I have pldt 200 plan. Converge 100 plan and smart LTE broadband as backup. Locally the best pa dn si pldt sa lahat ng aspect. pero sa ping lalo sa europe is the best ang smart broadband pero wala sya port forward that I need badly. May globe LTE sim dn ako as backup pero nd ko na tinuloy dahil mabagal sya talaga.
Medyo matagal na recently sumagot ang Call Center ni Converge dahil biglang dagsa ang subscriber nila... Sana magdagdag pa sila ng mga tao para maaddress ito.. Other than that Thumbs up for Converge... No problems for almost 3 years na.. Within 24 hours talaga inaaksyunan nila pag nagkakaproblem

Converge literally informed us when there is a problem in connection, mag tetext po sila at iinform hindi na po ang tao ang mag tatanong bakit wlang internet.. then pag bumalik na ang internet mag iinform ulit sila.. consistent po sila.. kaya di masiyadong nagagamit ang kanilang technical service because of good info.. di na kailngan pa gawin yung papatayin modem o anu pa dami pinapagwa wala padin naman internet.. that was my experience..
Pure fiber cable kase si converge from the main source up hanggang sa router mo. Kaya same ang up and download speed. Unlike kay PLDT at GLOBE, pure fiber from the source, pagdating sayo, copper na lang, which is way too mabagal and old compared to fiber cable.

The only thing holding me na magpalit kay converge is hindi pwede bridge mode sa kanila. PLDT Fibr ako and I have my own networking equipment and their modem is sub standard and only good for delivering internet.

Recommended ko talaga sa inyo na Converge FiberX kunin niyo, No Data Capping (Unlimited Data) at napaka bilis pa, minsan mahirap kontakin ang Customer Service nila (Based on Experience) pero promisable yung Upload and Download Speed nila, at mura na yung 1,500 pesos with other Charges (Installation Fee and Modem Fee, correct me if I'm wrong) pero sulit na sulit talaga ito, sana wag sila matulad sa mga Telco na nakapabagal at kinukurakot ang mga Subscribers nila

Ang choises lang talaga is either Converge dahil sa masmataas na upload speed sa 3500php plan at yung 25mbs for 1500php or Globe dahil sa 2499php plan nila, sa Termination Price at sa mga Freebies.
