Thanks for watching.

These videos are meant for the purposes of entertainment. Any attempt to imitate or copy what I do must be done at your own risk. My practices may not always be correct or the safest for you. I strongly recommend that you find your own way of turning. You are responsible for your own safety while woodworking. Read and understand the operation and safety manuals supplied with your tools and machinery to ensure you are safe while using such equipment.
Thoroughly enjoy your videos. Keep 'em coming.
Welcome to the channel Cecil. Glad you enjoy watching our videos. We enjoy making them. Happy turning. Toodle pip for now. Glenn & Liza
Well done Glenn. Bloody he’ll I’ve got a shed full of screwdrivers. Brilliant video keep them coming. Bill
Thanks Bill. Most people do. Mostly get all rusty.
Now the last series of videos I am bewildered. If the turning group doesn't have sharpening gear it will be carbide for me. I do have a set of traditional tools but it will be cheaper to go carbide rather than the sharpening equipment. Thanks for all you have given me this year. Have a joyous Christmas. ❤❤❤.
That's the message we are trying to say. If you don't have or can't afford all the sharpening gear, carbides may be a better option, more affordable too. Do you have a sharpening system? Before you even start using your traditional tools you'll need to be able to sharpen them. With carbides, all you need is the Diamond Card File. Glad we have been able to entertain you and pass on helpful tips. Hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Glenn & Liza x
@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 No sharpening gear. I hope that the turning group can help me next year. If I buy a lathe for home it will be your carbides for sure.
Watched your video on making sharpening jigs this brilliant now turning tools out a a great role model to the turning community well done Glenn by the way I do have a set of your carbides
Thanks Alan. Really appreciate that. Glad you are enjoying using your tools. Happy turning.
Proper down to earth realist cheers fella
Glad you liked it Brian. Realist is exactly what I am, no bull.
I'm sure I got a box full of old screwdrivers somewhere, guess what I'm doing when I get a chance lol. Stay warm and get well soon Glenn.
Turning snowmen icicles I though. 😄🤣Thanks Paul. Merry Christmas to you and Mrs Westlake from both of us. Glenn & Liza
@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 that as well of course lol. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to the both of you too
@@paulwestlake2625 thanks mate.
Brilliant Glenn I’ve bought one of your tools I think it was the parting tool 👍🏻 but I made a beading tool from an old chisel works a treat
Nice one. Bet you felt good after making it.
Thanks 👍
Welcome to the channel. Very much appreciated.
Thank you for your comment Roberto. It is a Diamond Sharpening Card File. Used to sharpen carbide cutters. I did a video on sharpening the carbide cutters. ua-cam.com/video/OKIhVNGJOWU/v-deo.html
Thanks Happy Christmas
Wow John, sorry we missed this. Thank you so much. I didn't know how to check the Supers till now. Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.
Thanks for explanation on the details of making tools it was me that asked and made the comment on how many chiesels you would need ) It will be a cheap way for people to extend their collection . I am keen to make my own tools without spending a fortune . Would you make a vid on how to make the gouges from scratch? I know that's asking a lot but would really help I have several of those screwdrivers you mentioned Will have to try it
Thank you. I have been asked in the past to make a vid on how I make my gouges, but unfortunately there are too many fools out there who don't take responsibility of their own actions. Too quick to blame someone else if something goes wrong. I am not a qualified Blacksmith. I have just learnt by and for myself how to do it. There may be other videos out there on forging, but I will not be making one I'm afraid.
Ok Glenn thanks for the reply Worth asking Being a novice bit wary of attempting things like this Watching your vids and trying/following your vids I have improved and my confidence has increased.... Get yourself a hot toddy for your man flu
@@Blitz-yn4kf that is the thing. We get a lot of New Turners on the channel. Would hate for something to go drastically wrong, just because they have never done it before. The first time I stuck the tool I made in oil, it went whoosh. Hot toddy now had. Feet up in front of the box now.
Cheers Glenn, if nothing else you’ve given me a purpose for keeping my Sorby Pro Edge. But i bet you cant suck a Rountrees fruit pastel……lol
@@stuart-hayes Haha. Get sharpening those screwdrivers. Can't eat them sugar doughnuts without licking my lips either.
Oh yeah! I remember well the Internet free days, & the electricity for only a couple of hours a day due to the strikes & many many other things. I'm not that old, I think, 58. In my working days, I was a shotblaster, h&s was almost non existant. My grandkids don't believe half of what I tell them. They don't know their living & aren't interested in anything unless it has a plug on the end of it. Ah! the good old days!
Yeah everything is H & S now. A bunch of snowflakes these days.
@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 soooo true. I was blasting wearing only a face visor before we were forced to wear full air supplied hoods. Turned out to be a great idea but a bit late for my lungs with all the crap previously inhaled. Still back then a broken thumb nail didn't need a visit to A&E 😁
@@mashmade-airth made of strong stuff Jim.
😂
If that's the best a man can get, that's what you do. 😊
@@archiehebron8944 Lol.
Get well soon, Glenn. Thanks for the ideas, mate.
