When that first bass hits in Pineapple slice, your face was priceless. Same....Baekhyun just doing Baekhyun things. So Baek has almost stolen Bias from Chen. I knew this day would come. btw, this project is his first with his OWN label INB100....So proud of him. This album is as good as any with SM. This label has Chen and Xiumin as well. Looking forward to more from all of them. Pineapple Slice has such a great Chorus and Baek's lower tone throughout the song is so delicious.
There is not a single song of Baekhyun’s that I don’t like, Underwater, though, is spectacular! The total environment of the instrumentation along with his emotion, phrasing, and overall tonal quality just can’t be touched! 😊😊
Yay! I’ve been hoping you would get to this soon. I knew you’d like Pineapple Slice. I was surprised and not surprised that it quickly became my favorite of his title tracks. I’ve also listened to the album excessively, which, again, is a little surprising as the song choices and structure are less expected, imo. The vocals are there, the quality of the music is there, but it’s not quite the Baekhyun we’ve come to know. I love seeing the growth! Good Morning is by Colde, who also wrote Love Again (one of the live mvs you’ve seen, from the Delight album) and Love Scene, from Bambi.
Yes! I have been so looking forward to seeing your reaction to these :D Baekhyun said it was the bass line that really drew him to Pineapple Slice as well. I just adore how much he was using the lower part of his register in this album and trying all kinds of different tones and sounds. He already killed with his high notes in the Bambi album and he is rarely one to repeat himself but loves to push into new challenges and try new things. So many reasons this man is my Ult....
