Yeah, I think it's supposed to be tear-ah-pah-ghos, which is like a play on Galapagos, which is famous for the Galapagos tortoise, and this is a turtle Pokemon.
I really like the fan Rotom, it seems like they took notice of us using Rotom V as a setup and it makes me excited to potentially see the other Rotom forms as setup Pokémon in the future.
So the Tera garchomp Doesn’t need energy with that ace spec 😮
That, and Tera Greninja attacks for just a double turbo!
Greninja ex for free or just DTE to snipe seams also good :)
The Fan Rotom is my favorite the Acespec is obviously going to be in some meta decks.

This deck is just Eternatus again lol. Not that I’m complaining, certified Eternatus enjoyer, but this archetype just gets steam rolled soon as the bench is limited right?

When a particular stadium card is too strong, it forces every deck to run it, or a way to deal with it, that may mean suboptimal cards that you play just to discard it from play, so you always have to save space in your deck for a counter. The most recent example is path to the peak, it erased abilities of rule box pokemon, so everyone run it on their decks even if it shutted down your own cards, just to slow down their opponents, or save some slots in their decks for other stadiums or cards like lost vaccum
The new electric Tera revavroom doesn’t need energy to attack with the item card either. I see some folks talking about Garchomp too. This is really good
So I imagine that the new colress card will work well with Terapagos box since it can get you under depths and a dte, which means kyurem could be a big threat to Terapagos box. Digging how things are unfolding here. Regidrago box seems soooo decent with Haxorous and Kyurem coming out. Def stoked for the new new.
Man I can see Frosslass Greninja being very good at fightin Area Zero depths builds. Also more fights over stadium dominance
I'm thinking that Palkia VSTAR is going to be a menace to society. Imagine both players have 8 bench pokemon. bruh. You're hitting 380.

These cards are super busted. Like insane power creep busted. The format for these will be insane. So much potential so many hidden bonuses for new, existing and different archetypes to consider. Deck theory will be intense.

Disagree with Azul when he says turn 1 terapagos hitting for 240 is disgusting. Raging bolt can hit for 350+ turn 1 going second. The limitation on terapagos is so stupid

They must have forgotten expanded exists again, or they will pre-ban Azure Zero. Holy crap. I suspect this is going to be too nuts in standard as well, and centralize the meta, but MAYBE I'm wrong in Standard. It's definitely an immediate must-ban for expanded formats.

would honestly hate being a japenese player with this release cadence even more because you have so much time to test for worlds/worlds format before you can reasonably test a lot with the new stuff

Obviously Torterra ex gets a massive buff with Area Zero. Playing the 4-4-3 line of Torterra with 4 Oger, 2-2 Wurmple/Beautifly with the 1-1 Rabsca gives you great damage at 270. Grotle can search out the entire board and with Bug Catcher‘a Set, it’s very consistent. The current iteration of TortaPon has multiple instances where you just have a hand of 20 Pokémon but not enough room to play them so it can feel brickish. Area Zero would definitely help.
