I’m running CR-18 tires on my RGT V2. Combined with the aluminum shocks it became a BEAST.
Also, the CR-18/24 wheels are BEADLOCKS.
You can wrap them with Solder and custom weight them to your liking.

axial was the clear winner, i was rooting for it since i own two of them. but i'm considering upgrading the wheels now lol.

Great comparison video KT. I personally put hobby plus tires and wheels on all my scx24s they have a softer more grippy compound and are cheap!

Keep up the good work Kev, I think that toy grade was in one of the first vids of yours that I watched, it made me think of telling you about a toy grade with 4ws made by red5. I remember seeing it in menkind and Rymans for £20 but that was ages ago.

I put the Hobby Plus CR-18 1.0 Grabber Tyre MT's on my HBX Devastator, with an RGT 1/24 Adventurer body on top. Really good looking thing with the more crawler like tyres.
Could need some wheel weights for better stability and even better grip.

Excellent video as always. Enjoying my scx24 dead bolt. I wanted to get the Jeep but they are out at the moment. Surprised how these perform, I let my cousin take it out and it does well in the yard.

I have a devastator, but the rear diff is now broken, I'll get another diff next week or so. But I have enjoyed it. I know some don't agree with 4 wheel steer, but my goodness it helps. Such a fun rig to run

I love mine too, i have Hobby Plus grabbers on mine but it needs weight up front. Plan on taking the battery out of the esc box and putting it right on top of the front servo. This should help with “bite” up front. Driveshafts are not phased properly, and steering needs proper ackerman. Motor is a tad underpowered but hey for under $100... i really can’t complain 🤷
@@bigmanrctoys8484 I went with Rc4wd tires on oem rims and removed the stock lipo and used a 900mah 2s mounted over the front end. It helped a load. Next- suspension rework to get more clearance.

I can’t find scramblers anywhere... guess i just have to wait. I plan on doing the same with the battery very soon. I just wish there were upgrades readily available in the U. S. For the Dev.
Hey kev great vid , I have found a new body that proline made for the slash , it’s a jeep gladiator and it’s like the big body so it’s not covering the wheels so it won’t parachute

Only just getting into the RC cars again after 7 odd years of them laying dormant.
My first hobby grade car back in 98 was a Kyosho Sandmaster 2 nitro.
Had all sorts since, Tamiya, Traxxas, FG, HPI...
Just a thought about the tyres...
What about roughing them up with a bit of sandpaper to see if that makes any difference, remove any shininess off them... 🤔
A few years back I bought I Revo 2.5 I loved it changed it to a 3.3. It’s been awhile but these vids make me wanna get another!

my first video of kevs that I watched I was hooked the moment the one minute mark hit i’d actually been thinking about getting a slash for a while because me and my friend we’re going to raise (he has a slash with the castle Monster x esc and I castle motor) Man I saw how fast that car went and I knew I just had to get one in this video was the last straw I now have a slash ultimate and a rustler 2x2 (bought with my own money)

Got confused what tire/wheel combo were you running on final pass on the sxc24? Looks good. I have 2 new sets of Rc4wd tires for my scx24’s but yet to hunt down the metal wheels I want. I might go this route.. 👍🏼

I got the axial scx 24 and made a track and it works great it went up a 43 degree slop of rocks and it went right up lol
