I've done Kheergana and Triund. Tbh, I was mesmerized by both of the treks. It's just that now I have witnessed such a beauty, I am worried if my next trek would meet my expectations or not. Would you recommend this trek?
I am wondering if you guys could start every month with a video to recommend treks for the following month - giving time to plan. For instance I am looking for trekking options for early September and am looking at best locations/treks
@@Indiahikes I like the videos content made by you guys. But I think INDIAHIKES should think about make a whatsapp group it will be a good step towards the Trek and for those who want to go in group through this whatsapp group trekkers should decide whether they want to go to trek in group or not.....
I am a beginner in trecking. All of yours videos are very helpful for me. But I have a problem, could you please give me any suggestion? I went to hill, Darjeeling and Kalimpung in two differnt times by car. But in this two journey I faced an intense pain of ear during the landing time. The pain was so intense that can't be bearable and lasts for 3-5 hours... But after reaching the plane region, pain was less. But it was imense.
If anyone has knee osteoarthritis (in one leg out of two), he won't be able to run or do lunges, squats. What do you suggest ma'am. I am 65 and have this problem. But otherwise I am a fit person. Recently done Maenam hills hiking in Sikkim in March. And planning to go HKD in September/October 2023. Would like to hear from you.
Hi Sarath, There's no snow on the trail during October, you'll see really nice autumn colours. The best months to experience snow at Har Ki Dun are March and April.
Hi Vinod, Wouldn't recommend this trek in monsoon or rainy season, because it rains quite heavily in the region. Besides, since it is a trek right beside the river, it makes it more tricky. So avoid months of July, August. Can start trekking from mid September or so after June.
Hello mam, as i am going to do my first ever trek of my life with indiahikes next month which is Har ki Dun trek can you please make a video on what luggage and things are must while trekking and also how to manage with minimum luggage to carry. Thank you!
Hi, Yes your daughters can do this trek provided, they are well prepared. This a moderate level trek. In terms of terrain, for the most part, it is an easy hike through the valley. But there are 2 big reasons why we rate the trek as a moderate one. They are: - The long-distance you cover every day: Expect to hike an average of 10 km a day - The lack of multiple exits: There is only one. The way into the valley is the only way out. So this makes evacuations a bit challenging. Watch this video to get an idea about difficult sections on the trek: ua-cam.com/video/B5e4zPS-L4I/v-deo.htmlsi=xheQUOvY7anZc0tJ
You can definitely do it as a beginner as long as you have the fitness required for it. We recommend being able to run 5 km in 35 minutes to do this trek comfortably. If you can do that, you can definitely do this trek
I'm 65 years old. I usually exercise 2 to 2.30 hours a day on stationary bike and walking for one hour each. Do you think I am fit enough for Har Ki Dun Trekking ?
That would be Dayara Bugyal - indiahikes.com/dayara-bugyal-trek It has short days, mild ascents and descents and isn't very demanding. Of course you still have to be fit to do the trek, especially in winter when you'll be walking in snow for long hours
Hi Ankit, there are steep ascents and descents on the trek. Go through our detailed documentation to understand the trek better - indiahikes.com/har-ki-dun
Hi Rohit, The trek fee is Rs 11,950 + (5% GST and Rs 240 Trek Insurance) from basecamp to basecamp. Refer the link to know more about inclusions and exclusions - indiahikes.com/har-ki-dun

We would recommend that the child is at least 11-12 years old to do this trek. It has long days and some difficult sections.
