Its a great softbox and dont forget to mention the pistol grip comes in handy when you cant use a light stand and handhold your flash while shooting with the other hand

I own three of the Triopo octagons. I have owned boxes that cost 2 to 3 times the price with half the benefits.
I'm really satisfied with this product. Now I have 2, a friend of mine and my brother are using it as well.

That softbox is rebranded under different names but the design permits for a super lightweight box and the reason I use it. Sure it is not the fastest in opening and closer but the light weight design wins every time.

Can you actually fold this softbox without taking off the diffusor? I use them mostly on studio , but 120 cm one use a lot of space lol

Hi I have a question as I'm considering softbox 90cm Vs 120cm. I'm worried there won't be enough light going through with 1 speedlight on the 120cm. I have a typical speedlight, how was it in your case? Was 1 speedlight enough? Or should I stick with 90cm so there would be more light.

The larger the softbox the more power is required
Don’t go with the 120cm with a speedlite

I think i broke that little locking mechanism cuz i can no longer unlock one of the sticks anymore. I needed to unscrew the screw on it in order to loosen the stick that has a broken lock. My question is, are there replacement parts that you can buy online for those locking mechanism?

Go with 90cm size. The AD200 Pro has a planty of power and the 90cm can handle that nicely

Seeing a lot of people having issues with unlocking, I'll pass up on this modifier.
I bought new units a while ago, and seems to they modified the mount a bit
planing to buy this instead of magbox of magmod which is so expensive. i want to see more result using this softbox.

Hi omar, I've noticed that in your previous videos, u were using Godox 80 X 80 cm square softbox. Between that and this triopo 90cm, which one do u prefer? Do they make much different? I've already have the godox 80X80, I'm thinking if I should add this triopo to my collection.....appreciate any feedbacks from u
I tried different types of Softboxes. Personally I loved Triopo, best value for the price. And now I replaced all my modifiers by Triopo, I have 3 of them.

Nice review! Do you know if it is possible to change the mount from a Speedlite to a Bowens compatible one? Triopo seems to offer both, so there must be a way....
The speedlite mount does work on bownes mount
However, you can get an adapter for the bownes mount model and make it work with speedlites

Hey! both sizes are very close. Bigger size means softer light, but it your light power is low, get the smaller size.
What model is the 32 inch ?

What type of photography you make ?
Bigger softbox means softer light, but needs more power.
90cm would be fine with the speedlight if you make product of food photography.
Oma Ghomrawi I’m going to use it for portrait work. In other UA-cam videos i saw them using the 90cm one instead of the 65cm one. So after my comment at your video i bought the 90cm one. Did i choose the wrong size now? Isn’t the V860 in combination with the 90cm not strong enough?

And i think that it has more to do with the V860 than the softbox right? For outside shoots you’re probably better of with something like the AD200/400/600 flashes correct?

FYI Recently I tested in my studio a 150cm Softbox vs Triopo 90cm with Godox LED SL60
So with the 90cm softbox the Led power is 40% while the 150cm Softbox needs a 100% power to match the same camera settings as when using the 90cm softbox

LED Ring Light spreads the light all over the room. You can not control it at all.
However Aziz, last month I lucky discovered that the ring light is amazing for unboxing and product videos when it is placed on the top of the product not on the side, so the item is the middle and the light is covering it from all sides.
