So there's a lot of reasons to take on this track, one it's a meme and you guys know how meme trash I am. Two, it's a sick song and has some really awesome lines and places to be able to embellish while still holding true to it's original feel which I am ALL about. The real reason I did this though is because like a week or so ago I was playing Among Us with proximity chat with Fyrus and he had Coconut Mall playing and hearing it fade in and out as he walked past me trying to do tasks and not getting murdered got it firmly stuck in my head during the time I was trying to decide what to cover this week. Thanks Fyrus.
This week I tried a different Lead guitar tone. I've been really loving playing through the Neural DSP Plini tone for leads that I decided to try it on this cover, but I had to wrangle it quite a lot since I'm so used to how my current tones blend. It let me have a lot more freedom with the mixing process though being able to literally change every aspect of the tone after recording, but I'm starting to thing that might be a hinderence for me more than anything since I can just tweak for days and days.
This was a fun happy cover for you guys as we move into the darkest month of the darkest year. Back to minor keys next week!

This was my grandma's favorite track, she liked it because it wasn't too crazy and modeled after real-world places
This and Mushroom Gorge.
And kinda-but-not-really-unexpectedly, the menu theme.

Everyone in the Mario Kart Tour community has been asking for this track to be added to the app. Its been over a year now (over 12 months since the games launch), and we only just recently got our very first MKWii track, in the Halloween Tour this year (last month), Maple Treeway. Which has given Mario Kart Tour fans hope that more MKWii tracks will be added, including Coconut Mall! The Holy Grail of Mario Kart Wii tracks!
@@stampylongnoah The character roster is bad but it had the best retro tracks by far. And it had the best Rainbow Road of all time. And it had classics like Maka Wuhu, Rock Rock Mountain, and Neo Bowser City. Heck, if it has Waluigi Pinball AND Coconut Mall in the same cup, it’s a top game in the series. I’d say MKWII is slightly better but not by much. It’s better than MK8 though.
the GOAT is still DS: best mechanics, best track selection, best additional content (battle and mission mode) and, most importantly, i can draw a pair of asscheecks on the back of my cars

I spent my entire childhood not knowing it could be used with the nunchuck. So it was tilt controls for me!

I also started a little bit of hype for the new exclusive track, which is called Merry Mountain, which is a Christmas themed mountain course. But going back to the subject, Coconut Mall was one of my favourite race tracks in Mario Kart Wii!
