- The California Bearing Ratio test commonly known as CBR is used to determine the strength of the subgrade materials being used in the flexible pavement. The design of flexible pavement is based on the strength of the materials used in subgrade in terms of CBR. For a given traffic load the crust thickness will be more if the CBR of the soil is less and the crust thickness will be less if the CBR of the subgrade is high. Therefore it is very important for the field engineers to test the CBR of the subgrade accurately to avoid any defects is future due to loading.
Waaaaaaw!I have come to understand how easy CBR test is,just by your explanation.
This was very helpful sir, thank you.
Very useful information sir.
Thank you sir,
for sharing knowledge of CBR tests.
Sir, please make in next video for
Grain size analysis and their classification of soil
ua-cam.com/video/2gQ5d26OyMU/v-deo.html
Classification will cover later
Load vs penetration graph should be drawn on semi-log graph paper or normal graph??
Excellent sir
Sir pls make one video how read L section of road at time of excution
Ok
Sir what is the reason behind higher value of CBR at 2.5mm than 5mm.
CBR is the ratio of observed vs standard load.
Generally ratio at this depth is higher due to either observed load is higher or standard load is lower.
Standard load is same for all the test condition so in my view beacuse of high observed load at 2.5 the CBR recorded at this depth is higher
Sir what is the value ofsurcharge weight ?
5kg
Sir where mention 56 blows in cbr
