Thanks - you did help me figure out syncing with dropbox. It’s ashame; Scrivener and Dropbox could do much more to simplify this process. Not sure why they won’t, but it is to their detriment.
This is awesome. it took me ages to even figure out how to connect scrivener and dropbox, syncing files was completely beyond me. This helped me in 2 minutes!
This was extremely helpful. For some reason I couldn't upload my .scriv files in Dropbox through the browser. Well, it would upload, but as a zip file, which is not helpful. I forgot I could download Dropbox for desktop and move the scriv files there instead. Thanks!
Hi, a bit late in the day I know, but does this work with iCloud as well. And have they sorted out the cross platform formatting issues by now? Thanks.
So, dumb question, but how do I move a Scrivener file from the 'On my iPad' category to the 'Dropbox' category? I can't figure this out, and it should be super easy.
I'm wondering if you could answer a question for me. I started a project on my iPhone, and it is synched to DropBox. I cannot, however, open it on my Mac: "The project at "/Users/Jeeves/Dropbox/Apps/Scrivener/[-].scriv" seems to be of an older format, but no binder.scrivproj file could be found inside it. It may be missing or corrupt, possibly because of a problem with the device on which it is stored, or because of a synchronisation problem. Try ctrl-clicking on the project in the Finder and selecting "Show Package Contents", then look for a file entitled 'binder.scrivproj'. Ensure it has not been renamed by a backup routine. If it does not exist, try restoring from a backup." Do you have any idea how to fix this issue? Thanks!
I'm so confused. I have a Scrivener project and Dropbox on my laptop. I have Dropbox and Scrivener installed on my iPad. I need to get my Scrivener project into my Dropbox so I can work in it on my iPad. I've watched the section of the video (8:38) several times and I don't know what you did to have the Scrivener project on your desktop. Did you have your Scrivener project on your Desktop? It just seems like you closed it and it appeared your desktop and then you dragged it into your Dropbox. I don't know where to find my Scrivener project to do that and I'm concerned about the implications of moving my Scrivener project around.
Joy comes in the morning, PYthoNJ4ck made me smile again as I can finally access my Dropbox files and recover missing one’s to)))))))))))) what a resourceful service ;

Oh. My. God. Was driving myself nuts before I found your tutorial. Thank you! So in love with Scrivener. I'm going to marry it. ;)
Excellent. Now I can sit on my patio and create on my iPad. :-)

no link sync with the scrivener desk top so this is way too confusing.

Hey so syncing, in essence, also saves your writing correct?

Is Scrivener too pricey on the App store?
I'm planning on getting myself an iPad
It's about $20.00. If you haven't already found that out.
Great Tutorial... However, long 2 minute intro... I skipped ahead (heh) and I did subscribe to your channel...

OK, I found it. All good. :)
But how do we move projects already saved on the ipad to be saved into dropbox?
Answer is here: gwenhernandez.com/2017/03/15/working-with-projects-in-scrivener-for-ios-wvideos/
There is one very good reason to never Scrivener pro. The developer absolutely refuses to add iCloud support and forces you to use dropbox.
way too confusing really
