This comment is disrespectful to Scholes and Lampard. Gerrard being 3rd in that list doesn't mean he's being disrespected. Scholes was the heart of the PL's greatest dynasty and Lampard's possibly the greatest goal scoring midfielder of his generation, borderline all time. Coming last to those 2 isn't an outrage in any way.

Gerrard was the most complete. I mean he’s the only one to have success when playing as a 10 (Torres era), an 8 (early career especially 2003-2007) and a 6 (Suarez era). He’s easily the most complete, contributing to both attack and defence. The only reason Lampard has more g/a than Gerrard is Becos Gerrard defends way more than Lampard does

It’s not about how good you are on your very best day if you only have that kind of performance a handful of times in a season (Stevie G). It’s about performing at a consistently high level throughout the whole season and then the next season etc after 5-10 years then you can be considered a great (Paul Scholes)
Gerrard was a good player and great on his best day, Scholes was great consistently. Maybe Gerrard on his very best day is better but Scholes was better over the course of a season.
