The keeper was trash anyway. Watch some of the slow mo shots. He's still in the air from jumping up and down like a spoon when they shoot, giving him less time to react and move to the shot. Then he does some spectacular dive for shots that are a step to the left or right instead of just STEPPING to the left or right and catching it

As someone who started watching Liverpool in the 1970's in the Paddock with my dad then on my own in the Kop I can honestly say I've not seen a better player in the old 1st division or premier league who can pass a ball, tackle run and score and have an overall effect on a team better than Steven Gerrard. Yes there are some who come close...but not close enough. His goals alone were staggering..all this from a midfielder..the original Roy of the rovers.
