    Thanks for the video. The part number for the kit is: Shock Absorber Suspension Repair Kit for BOSCH SIEMENS 00673541. I needed to originally replace the upper support bar with the 2 springs and decided to replace the dampers at the same time. The worn dampers were possibly the reason for the upper support bar failing. (But then again our washing machine is 20 years old.) Our machine is a Bosch WFO2265GB and this kit was a perfect replacement. Thank you again.

    Excellent video thanks. I bought the kit from ebay for my Bosch WFO2466GB/07 and followed the video. Quite fiddly to squeeze the new pads into the tube but I use pliers to put a slight bevel to the tube sides which helped.

    If only I'd seen this last week. Our Bosch was shaking itself to bits and I'd concluded it was beyond repair.

    Great vid, cheers mate. I would advise putting the grease up the shaft or it all just gets wiped off on your hands as you fiddle getting the pads in.

    Unfortunately the drum still knocks against something even on slow spin, so it must be something else...

    • @servisslimline

      Take the belt off and spin the drum, if it knocks it’s likely the spider has failed, end of the machine

    For a Bosch Logixx 8 you only need to remove the rear panel to replace the shock absorbers. The upper mounts are retained by a 10mm hex head custom coarse threaded screw that fixes into the center of a mounting peg integrated into the main housing. The bottom mounting bolts are a 13mm bolt that screws into a integral thread in the chassis mount. i.e. In both cases bolts only, no nuts required. The original shock absorbers were the square variety shown here but my replacements were round but were indicated to be genuine Bosch replacements. They certainly could be fitted without any problems and hopefully will outlast the 13 years for the originals.

    Great helpful video. No mention of the new type dampers - you have to drill out the old upper pins. Also what about the springs? Aren’t they part of the suspension?

    • @servisslimline
      @servisslimline  3 роки тому +3

      thanks very much, no troubles, all i will say is make sure the pad is completely stuck before attempting to fit the damper otherwise its going to be a real struggle. parts are easily available on ebay, around £14 for a complete kit

    Would or do you think that re-greasing would have given some short-term relief; would it be worth it?
    and thanks for your replies.
    When you lie the machine down will there be a water spill from somewhere? Will I need some towels?

    • @servisslimline
      @servisslimline  Рік тому +3

      not worth regreasing old ones, like i say there will be barely any pads left, if your going to the length of taking them apart to grease then just replace them like i did. there may be water yes

    Does this kit fit every Bosch WM with square suspension legs? I have an old Exxcel 1200 model WF02465GB/01, and it definitely has 2 square legs that look like the ones on this video, but I am getting conflicting information about the fit.

      @@servisslimline The 673541 suspension repair kit has arrived and it fitted my WF02465GB/01 perfectly. Thank you for the advice, much appreciated. From what I can gather, I think Bosch might sometimes have used a cylindrical damper on this model washing machine, then the repair kit would clearly not be appropriate - this may explain why some parts listing suggests it doesn't fit this model.

    • @servisslimline

      No you shouldn’t, if your hearing knocking or tapping with nothing in the drum then the drum spider has likely gone, end of the machine

    Hello! I want to change the dampers in my BOSCH as well, I originally thought to replace the whole thing, so remove the old ones with a drill. However it seems that this way might be easier? I am a bit scared if the pads will stay in their place. What is the spray you are using? Can I use glue or sth like that?

    • @servisslimline
      @servisslimline  3 роки тому +1

      Yes you need a strong adhesive for the pads, just make sure they’re well stuck on before you insert the damper into the other half

    • @nikosnio7
      @nikosnio7 3 роки тому

      @@servisslimline ok, just replaced the dampers succesfully. I had bought the whole damper unit but removed the lower part and then put it to the old upper part of my washing machine. However there was not as much grease as in your video, there was just enough to feel it greasy in your fingers, would that be a problem when I 'll run the washing machine?

    • @servisslimline
      @servisslimline  3 роки тому

      @@nikosnio7 i didnt use the whole pack, as long as youve got enough to cover both pads on each damper then you should be fine, if not just buy normal multipurpose grease, that should help

      @@servisslimline Actually, you can, you just cut the moulded plastic pins at both ends to remove the old shocks, drill a hole in the solid end, and replace the pins with steel bolts. The bolts come in the kit with the new shocks. That's what I did with mine, anyway.
