I love the update videos I’m currently a ramp agent for United and transferring to tech ops soon , thinking about doing a few months here save a good amount and then possibly apply for aviate , hope you keep posting these great informative videos !
Ramp agent for United and currently got accepted into Aviate for next year. I’m debating saving up and just paying for a flight school without getting a loan or just going to Aviate and getting that loan
As part of my conditional acceptance I had to have the FAA written done 80% or higher. They have a cafeteria on campus where you can order food that is open during the week and Saturday.
Some questions: 1. You mentioned a flight instructor is assigned to you. Is this a 1:1 ratio or are you in a group and have an instructor assigned to that group? 2. If there are multiple students to an instructor, do the other students join you on your flight? 3. If the other students are in your flight, does the instructor address all the other students i.e., answering everyones questions while on your flight? 4. I understand that schedules will vary. You mentioned a 4am start, a break in between and then afternoon/evening class. Could you give us a break down of times eg; I started at 4am, I had a break at x time, then I went back in at x time for this class and then left school at x time.
For my class, 4 students per instructor. We go up in the airplane 1:1 ratio. Example schedule: 8:30-10:30 flight, ground class 4:30-6:30. In between time between flight and ground I’m reviewing my flight, studying anything I missed as well as reviewing ground material before class. After class, read items that will be covered in next day flight.
UAA fosters a culture of intimidation. Many students have been let go after speaking out or complaining to hire-ups for vague reasons, and therefore students currently at the school are too scared to speak out. School management constantly has all eyes and ears open for any sign of dissent or criticism and is looking over everyone’s shoulder.
I'm looking to become apart of the United Aviate Academy, so your videos make it super helpful to know more information - thank you! Just to get an idea, how long are the typical days in the school? Like 8 hour days total?

@@flyguyjp1469 i've been considering this school but just curious about what you do for a living, like do you go to work after school to pay for your typical bills?
Hey man great video and thanks for posting. Question, I am thinking of joining but I am in the military (not working with aircraft) and by the time I get out next year I’ll be 36 years old. Do you think this is too old to start or do you see students around the same age in the program?
Hey! What did you do leading up to applying for Aviate Academy? I’m graduating from college in the spring and am what else I should do to give myself a competitive edge for acceptance. Thank you!
After your acceptance into the program did you wait for untied help with the loan process of do we the individual apply on our own. Trying to figure out how to move forward after acceptance, thank much.
No worries thanks for getting back to me, hey is there anyway I can private message you? To ask you more about the program? Im waiting for a class date...
How many stages are there in the application process? I just got an email about being moved up in the application process so now i’m waiting on the skill/aptitude/personality assessments, how many more steps are there? Thank you!
So I got accepted but it says I have to be in one of the following categories, university entry point which means you have to be in school or have your bachelors. Professional flight training entry point Meaning you need your commercial License already. Experience build entry point meaning your already a CFI. UAX meaning I’m already employed with a regional carrier is that accurate? Or I can just come right out of high school with no experience?

Hey JP, as someone who is applying to Aviate within the next two months hopefully; what is the acceptance rate like? Appreciate the help. Love the channel brotha!
Why not just go to college for aviation? There are plenty of schools you can study aviation and get your pilot licenses while enrolled in school. 4 year programs. Do that!
@@rsoxfan123 now days more and more airlines aren’t requiring 4 year degrees to combat shortages. Faster to get all your ratings in 1 year than spread out over 4 years
Hey there, I'm considering applying to United Aviate Academy. However, is it really competitive to get into? Do you recommend having some kind of degree to better your likelihood of getting accepted?
Usually fly around 3-5 days a week depends on weather, plane availability. Days off depend on whatever days your instructor has off every instructor is different

Are you technically working while in class? Wondering how you pay bills while being in school?
Do they have only morning class or evening class too ?
Thanks for your videos they are helpful. Does the program have any assistance with housing for those relocating?
Awesome information quick question. How often do new classes start?
Every month a new class starts
Is housing provided in the academy
Is the loan covering for personal expenses? Let’s say rent, food? Do students have part-time jobs or how do you have income?
