Yeah, definitely, the country and the people are great. Actually, the international departure experience was a little bit better this year, although they did have a very thorough and time-consuming secondary security check right on the tarmac before boarding the Indian Airlines flight to Delhi. That involved waiting in another line, some more pushing and shoving, and about an extra hour delay.
@jonathan1stewart HI mate, you have pointed the reasons i love nepal, embracing the chaos, how does that sound, what difference the nepal would make if it is like any other country with sleeky customer service and other stuffs, plz dont expet nepal go give service like US or other, i know its natural to be frustrated but have patience and enjoy yourself, this is the new world, WELCOME TO NEPAL!!!
will also post a similar video soon after I am done with converting from VHS tape to digital video of the landing in 1992 September flying Thai Airlines. shows u how much of land was undeveloped, and looked green then.
@BrockerzNZ I've been to NZ too, pretty cozy there I should say. They do like their milk but are a bit precious with the airline rules. Kind of the polar opposite of Nepal. I have lots of respect for Nepal, but their airport is a freaking disaster. That's a simple fact. Say hi to Dolly the sheep for me, will ya?
sorry guys for late response. i came back from nepal 2.5 months before. i stayed in nepal for 5 months. unfortunately our airport remains same or even worse so much stealing from luggage, dirty, smelly so much croud. very bad traffic management. sorry for telling this. i heard that there has been some positive change recently.
its sad to see the low standard of our international airport of our nation... sad but true.. m ashamed of our tourism sector... they should do something about it
Overcrowded departure "lounges," completely disorderly aircraft boarding procedures, no air-conditioning, bad security, people shoving, clueless employees. And then you should see the domestic. There is a fight to get boarding passes because the airlines routinely overbook and the boarding passes become sort of a first-come, first-served deal with everybody fighting to get to the front of the line when the counters open, waiving tickets madly in the face of the agents. Security is an a joke.
Ummm...everything? Bad lighting, bad service, dirty restrooms. The country Nepal is great but the airport is a bad impression. People smoking, dirty floors, all that stuff.
Hey Brockers...whr you come from mate?? Australia ?? New Zealand ?? England ?? You don't face the wrath of what confusion goes on in Airports / Rail stations / Bus terminuses in third world countries including Nepal...so you show some bloody empathy and get back to YOUR cosy bloody little home bro
