Freezer definitely works to help extend the life of a tube of 5200. Been doing it for years. That stuff is expensive.😅😅

Just want to thank you brother, after having fuel issues on my 2011 Mercury 115 and replacing high and low fuel pumps, I used your method with using a clear line to discover air actually flowing backwards out of the FSM and after replacing o rings still had same issue. Had to replace whole unit unfortunately but I’m not mad because it now has given me zero issues. Would not have been able to figure it out if it wasn’t for the video from way back that saved my day. Even the marine shop couldn’t figure it out. Bravo homie from Team Local Talent 😊

I put the cap back on 5200 and wrap it tight with electrical tape, lasts longer than if you dont. I go through it fairly quickly though, and only buy the one ounce tubes, less waste, customer is paying for it anyway.

Sealants: fill the cap with grease, squeeze a small bit out to get rid of any that touched the air then immediately put the grease filled cap on. It will last a very very long time.

I had to stop the video at 31.51 to post. Marine engines, in my eyes, are only second to aircraft engines. Our lives depend on them both because of the environment they work in. The quality from the manufacture of your boat varies a crap ton. That scares me more.

Any thoughts on Parsun 2 cycles. Have an older boat that I would like to re-motor. Boat came with a Johnson 85HP. I understand a 4 cycle will be too heavy unless I drop HP.

Honestly I've never worked on a Parsun, can you buy a Parsun and have it delivered to the US, or are you in another country?
