I have a friend who's trying to clean up the mess her dad left in the back yard. One of her neighbors keeps complaining when she sets things on her driveway until she can take them in to the rag and metal place. It's almost as if they don't want her to clean up the back yard! It's not as tho she just leaves the metal on the driveway forever! Now she has the township on her neck all the time whenever there's stuff on the drive! She's on a short dead-end road so it's not like it's a public eyesore! Some people only think of themselves and don't care if someone is trying to get a huge job done.

@@sincerelyjackie579 I think her neighbor just wants to be an A*H*! The mess my friend's dad left was years in the making so she can just move a bit at a time. She fills the back of her van to bring it to the rag/metal place so it may take a few days to get enough ready to take down. And, when you're older, it takes longer to do things.

But I, too, find these kinds of videos - where kind-hearted people use their time, energy, tools, skills, as well as their compassion - incredibly inspiring and entrancing. I am fully cognizant that he is getting some compensation via social media advertising and the exposure (and experience), but it doesn’t measure up to what he is doing for the people he’s helping out. They said they received a call from my number about a tree touching a power line that ran through my yard. They said it was a good thing I called. They couldn't believe it hadn't already caught fire. I said, 'we didn't call." The man told me the call came from the number at that address. 🤔We didn't call. We hadn't even noticed the problem. Oh well, I'm glad they came and took care of the problem.

That's lovely. I'm sure she remembers when the ice truck made deliveries. My late Dad would be 84 this year, and he remembered hot summer treats when the ice man made his delivery to their house. He said the kids all sat quietly on the porch so as not to be in the way, and they were super respectful to the delivery man... because if he was in a good mood, he'd give each of the kids the chips that fell off the blocks of ice. I mention that because it's one of the things people used to watch in those days before television -- just watching the deliveries, and the new machines doing work in the city, or on the farms. May God bless you for honoring your mother as He commands.

Pamela, I’m disabled and depending on how good or bad I am on the day decides if I need one of the more front bus seats. A particular route I have to do there and back ten minutes later feels like hours 😂 Because of the time coming back elderly people can use their free pass. By that time I’ve been up very early, I hurt and I just want to sit & read.
But I make myself talk to the elderly people, so many times they’ve thanked me for the chat and often say they don’t get to speak to many people 😢. Others have told me I was the first person in days! I always thank them for the chat too.
Sometimes, when I just want to get on my next bus, come home and have a nap I’ve asked if they’d like to come to a cafe. I used to teach a craft class to 12 elderly ladies, it was great, like having 12 grandmas, though I’d get a playful slap for being cheeky 😂 one with severe dementia would tap out bottoms and tell us we were beautiful and glamorous! Who could complain about that 😂 x

I live in rural Nevada and have 2 acres of prairie grass and sagebrush to keep down and trees to trim. I tried hiring some of the kids in town to just mow, but they won't do it because "it's too hard". They can't sit on a riding mower for 2 hours. I do it when I can, but I have degenerative arthritis in my spine, so it's hard. My complaint is that kids nowadays can't leave their phones for 10 minutes or physically "work" at all. It's ridiculous.

We had a customer whom seemed rough tempered and no one else liked dealing with her because of it. So I found out what her name was, went out of my way just to walk up and say " Good afternoon Marge how are you today and is there anything I can help you with?" And that's all it took to make an old lady( widow that lived alone) smile ear to ear. ( and she never smiled before)
After that it was like I gained an Aunt. She went out of her way just to say Hi if I was there that day (grocery store).
A little kindness is all it takes to make lonely folks happy.
    Kudos to you young man!

It’s a pretty amazing John Deere product.
I don’t know the model, but I’d have one when my current mower dies.

I was amazed how you were trimming and you found the sidewalk to the house from the garage! Great find!
I like the way you talk with the elderly community. You listen and they feel heard! I think it means a lot because you are young. This man shared his home with you! That says a lot about the impression you made on him. He opened up his home to you two. Very impressive. You are really touching many peoples lives in such an amazing way! What a true Blessing You Are! Love you guys! 🙏🏻💕💕

I was shocked to when he found the sidewalk. He has great skill in knowing where the grass ends and the sidewalk begins.
It is refreshing to have people in the world giving good and encouraging others to share kindness.

Don’t down play what he did. That took more than “a couple of gallons of gas and his time.” That lawn was a monstrosity.

@@garytype6265 You should choose your words more carefully, because your statement implies that this man performed a simple act that required only two gallons of gas and his time. At the end of the day, this requires sacrifice. However, he atleast gets a kickback from the content this produces.
