- Part 9, the Finale of my Assetto Corsa Initial D Ver.3 Touge Run series. I head to Tsuchisaka and run into Project D, and challenge Takumi Fujiwara to a race! Initial D Ver.3 Style with the D3 HUD and D3 BGM for this track! Please read below!
For this video since it's the finale in my series, I wanted to do a little extra and make it seem exactly as if you were playing the Initial D Version 3 arcade game. I redesigned all the menus/UI that you see and I animated everything as well. I wanted to make it feel like a modernized Initial D game, as if Version 3 was remade in today's world. I think it turned out ok? haha.
I put in a lot of work to this, countless hours of editing and I can't thank my fellow team member Gears enough for putting up with the many hours of takes we had to do for the final race. After about 100+ takes we still weren't satisfied but we tried to make do with what we could, as this race had to be all done in one take with no mess ups. Of course there were a ton of mess ups and I've included some of them in a bloopers reel at the end of the video! :D Please excuse the bad driving in the final take! LOL. We are not pros!
Other than that, I wanna thank all the people that have watched my series and I hope you like this finale video for it! I will still continue to make videos but this is it for my "Initial D Ver.3 Style" series. I got other video ideas planned and I do have 2 other Initial D video projects I want to do... but those will take some time. So keep an eye out for them!
This series consists of me doing runs on all the courses that were in the Initial D Ver.3 arcade game, along with the D3 HUD and the courses' BGM to make it seem just like the arcade. I will be using one car, my AE86 for all of my runs. Please excuse the physics, as I just used whatever was on the mod at the time. I also have decided to include Initial D references/cinematic shorts in each of the videos in my series. Look out for them and I hope you enjoy it!

Yes he does! I included that part in this video after the race with Takumi! I did not film the actual race though, just the start and left the outcome up to the viewer! haha
In the actual arcade game and street stage on the PSP, the Bunta you face at the end of the story mode is very easy compared to the Bunta you race in the "Bunta Challenge" mode
@@DetectiveLevi yeah the 15 star Bunta in the Bunta Challenge is pretty hard lol. I've only beaten him on a couple courses at his 15 star level.
@@naraku4254 yes you got it right. But the arcade game is a whole lot different or should i say difficult from the psp version. Bunta is a lot harder to beat after u gain more stars in every map.
When some one blind attacks turn lights Off and wait untill they have To turn lights back risky but IT CAN WORK WELL IF A MASTER CAN DO IT

Me too!! I was getting nostalgic memories while I was editing this haha. I also think this is the best Initial D game. That is why I chose to make this Ver.3 Series of mine. I went to the arcades every day playing this when I was in middle school. Once the last bell rang, I was off to the arcade lmao.

Yeah I agree! I grew up playing Ver.3 in my local arcades back in the day and used to go to all the tournaments for it. Fun times, so I had to make a video in the style of it.

Yeah I wished that would've happened too! It woulda made more of a realistic story where he would grow from his loss.
I mean he did lose in the show but I didn't consider them losses since it wasn't a real race lmao.
I mean... He lost three times unofficially (Bunta, Joshima, Sudo). Every time learning a lesson from it. So it kept it very fresh from my perspective.

Was a fan on arcade stage 3, as well as the psp version.
Voice overs were well used here as well as the timing. And the outtakes were hilarious! Imagine Takumi watching this and saying 'Alright, the imposters are here again...'

I too am still a big fan of version 3. Used to go to a lot of tourneys for it. Now I just casually play it whenever I visit my local arcade haha.
Nice to hear you appreciate the voice overs! I had to go through a bunch of them and translate each one on the fly to see what kind of story I could create. Then I'd be like "ok this one works with this" or "nope, can't use this one" lol. I didn't want to just grab a bunch of random voicelines and make my own subs...that wouldn't feel right. I can understand/speak Japanese to an extent so I wanted everything to be accurate, whether it was for my Japanese viewers that they can fully understand the story, and for everyone else with accurate subtitle translations. Thus it would create a real story rather than just making one up with random voicelines put together that don't even make sense if you understand Japanese.
Happy to see you like the outtakes as well haha! There was way more but I just grabbed some of the good ones for this video! I'm thinking of just making a whole video on outtakes during filming of most of my videos. Like a mashup/collection of just outtakes. I think it'd be fun, so people can get a behind the scenes look at what goes on when i'm making my videos.

Does anyone think the gearbox of the zenki AE86 is a little too long and could use a shorter gear ratio?
I'm using the kouki ae86 btw, the panda trueno is the zenki. But yeah its cause i'm using the TecArts 3.5 gearing ratios but they were meant for 9000rpm and i'm using it for 11k rpm LOL ooops :)

The one we used here is just the Touge Workshop AE86 Zenki mod. All I did was make a skin for it with the Fujiwara Tofu sticker, nothing else. So you can easily do that too if you have the car already! Its easy to learn to how to make skins!

I can't really make a video on how to drift the 86 or a certain car for that matter. Its really just keep practicing and eventually you'll get the hang of it. I see you joined our discord server, so we'll just continue this conversation there.

Yeah, this version of Tsuchisaka was the only one out at the time I made this, and it was a super short course, so I was limited to what kind of story I could make. If I had the new Tsuchisaka thats out right now I woulda made a different story since its way longer than this one. It's the actual one from the arcade games. So sorry about that!

I remembered there's a tunnel in this map..... was there suppose to be one in the arcade ?
There is a tunnel yes, and it was in the actual arcade version.
However, when I made this video, this was the only Tsuchisaka map mod out at the time for Assetto Corsa. It was a port of version 3's map but it was cut in half to act as the half that was used in the actual anime.
Now, only recently did someone rip and convert the full Tsuchisaka from Initial D Arcade Stage 8 to be in Assetto Corsa. That one has the tunnel, but i'm not going to remake this video with that map unfortunately lol.
