I was lucky to see them live in Auditorio Nacional (Mexico City) more than 20 years ago. Most probably the same lineup. It was great! Still have the ticket and a T-shirt.

The best band ever. such great precision. The girl dancers were 🥵. The drummer was out of this world I thought he was going to levitate. And of course our wonderful bass player Verdi White .Where does he find the energy?Everyone is so talented. There will never be a band that can top them.😅
Excellent performance. Musicality, tuning, with great harmony and rhythm. They all display their professionalism and exceptional musical skills. Respectfully, Philip B's demonstration of such high notes is not necessary. His years of excellence are his best demonstration.
Thats his natural tone, these songs were written with his voice in mind, he's one of the originals in the band, so I kinda don't get what your point is.

I’ve seen EWF 3xs live in my life time with MW. However I understand when a band member is gone, it’s a business move to continue on so everyone can feed their families. Bottom line not the same EWF without MW and the magic 🪄 production they would have during the show. I don’t know how Verdine keeps his energy level up consistently. However the music sounds great ❤

Matrice stopped touring with EWF in 1994 due to his complications with oncoming parkinsons diverse. He continued to write songs and occasionaly recorded in the studio.
