This is Maria's story of life with Congenital Heart Disease. Maria's full condition name is a double inlet left ventricle with transposition of the great arteries and coarctation of the aorta arch.

Other points we discussed but didn't make the final cut:
We are both on the tablet form of Lisinopril and Warfarin, and before that the liquid and tablet from of Captopril. (Keeping the liquid Captopril chilled was always a hassle on days out).
In post-op ICU we both asked for strange requests - I asked for warm milk (I was 5 at the time) and Maria asked for Jaffa Cakes.
