It feels empty without the flock of drones and 20 enemies swarming your screen
This song was amazing, and a surprise for sure. Good music completely amplifies the gameplay experience, and I love that indie devs outclass triple AAA titles music wise so much these days, because they have the freedom to actually make what they want.
Shoutouts to Fern for those Grilled Jobwiches. Wouldn't have beaten the boss without them.

The first time I heard this, I almost lost the fight because I was just vibing so hard to the song.
@@samsigmon3496 I was simultaneously vibing and panicking as this was going while I was trying to evade the enemy horde.
The one thing that fucked me up was the lazers while vibing to the song.

This song is such a banger but I still have nightmares of the third phase, with that cube constantly shaking my screen while my old laptop is having a stroke trying to keep up with everything happening.

Very very good final boss theme, reminds me in a way of Four Part Plan from Portal 2 but definitely its own thing (especially with the sorta SNES-ish sound in the later part of it)

As cheesy as the constant "We programmed your brain" it sounds at the beginning..
if a word or phrase is said too many times it loses its meaning and my brain seems to just accept it as white noise and merges it with the music.
Eventually I forget the phrase is even being said, and I can't even tell if this is on purpose but damn it's amazing.
So what you’re saying is… THEY TRULY DID REPROGRAM YOUR BRAIN.

For me, the phrase changes to either "We broke your brain" or "we went insane."
Pretty much an auto tricks for this track, and simple use of "we program your brain."

late to the comment but i think its really clever, genius perhaps. i mean think about it. whats an advertisment suposed to do? influence the recepient's behavior in most cases its to buy a good or service. by repetadly beating it into your head it becomes inpercivable as you said white noise however even though your concous mind tunes it out or warps it its still percived loud and clear by the sub concous mind effectively bypassing your minds concous safeguards with the message. fits well with cubicles ai's stated goals of bypassing the "privacy settings" in game so they can give everyone what they "want"... btw dark patterns are a thing and this is a good example of thier use.

It basically means a user interface designed to trick people into buying/doing things they wouldn’t normally do
The bit from 3:05 brings this theme from very good, to amazing in my eyes.
At first, I thought they were saying "Progress will Reign" or "We programmed your brain". Both of which still would've fit.

"Progress will reign" was probably clever because all it cared about was fulfilling its duty to what people truly wanted; having their desires fulfilled and having the cube physically implant itself to read them all (not exactly what the people wanted but the cube wants to implant itself) Therefore, progress into making this the normality must be continued further with no interruptions.
Also because, well, reign rhymes with rain. It's raining or has an overcast in the final fight if I remember correctly.
Hear it as "we broke your brain" and "we went insane." but might just be me.

When I first started this boss battle, I thought the drones were saying “can’t work in rain” and then they started charging me and I was like, “or it’s ‘we program your brain’”
Just beat the game yesterday. Given the plot wist at the end, this song was the best surprise in the whole game.
This boss fight was so stressful for me, playing it completely blind was the best idea, this whole fight was a surprise, even learbing about if the boss hit you you'd tele back and all damage you did would be lost, I was constantly stressed, but not in a bad way, I kept going back over and over not stopping until I defeated him, it took many tries, but eventually I finally did it and this beat was hella dope the whole time, this game is a def recommend
