Thanks, that was very helpful. But why doesn't EpressiveE say in a short documentation that there is no more preset management in the editor? I was seriously troubleshooting because I thought the new editor wasn't working properly. Or is there a documentation? Ok, now that I know the change, I found it in the document Osmose_ReleaseNotesFW2.0_EN. So, apologies to ExpresiveE.
Kinda charming nerdy layout and proces, guess they better invest in a clear slate and create an editor that is good-looking and logical inside it's device .
No way they can create an editor for EaganMatrix inside the device. They might create some interesting overlays onboard however that can easily use the available controls.
its probably a matter of getting used to but i find the new saving system very annoying, i've already wiped out my progress a few times accidentally by pressing next preset instead of increasing octave or forgetting i have to save it there. also naming presets is a lot more work now as you have to "type" it on the device, i wish they would have allowed you to name it on the pc and save to osmose through a midi command that sends the save command
Agreed. But I have nothing to do with EE decisions. The problem is that the editor does not know the new internal preset storage design used in the new Osmose firmware because the editor only runs on the DSP processor. Presets are now all on the Osmose processor. There is no such Midi command anymore. I'm sure they will do something here though. I assume they wanted to get the firmware out so people can use the new features (most of whom do not use the editor).
@@eaganmatrixprogramming i know you dont but this seemed like a good place to point it out/have a discussion about it as people updating are likely to come by here and yea i really hope so it seems like an oversight for something so small yet influential of your workflow
@@MrBattlehunter The better place is the Expressive E Discord page which they monitor and officially respond on. Or the Facebook Osmose Users group which they also monitor (and at times comment on).
my first microphone I had was a headphone I used in reverse. Then I got for like my birthday in 1997 a real microphone (for like 5 bucks). What I wanted to say: Both sounded way better than your setup in 2024. What's happening? 🤣
amazing, thank you for doing this

I seem to have some processing on this one. But I'm using a different interface. I've used a couple different mics. Need to check that. Thanks.
Thinking more my mixer broke and I went to a new one that has internal effects I turn off. I bet this has something to do with it. Need to check.
