Hi there! There is one reason for which you might want to have both, and that's the reason i have them for. The reason is that I want to have some world coverage, but not as much as the world ETF gives. Aince i'm more bullish on the U.S., I achieve more weight in the US by buying also the S&P500. You don't have to do it, but that's the reason why i do it. Hope it helps :)
