- Ciao!! is a compact and performance-oriented output module built with high-quality, low-noise components and layout for top notch modular-to-line level conversion. It has 2 stereo line outputs, a headphone amplifier, and a few tricks up its sleeve.
Stereo pairs A and B have dedicated level controls with signal indication and possible line-level clip warning for signals over 1 Volt. Channel A is equipped with 6.3mm balanced jack outputs to minimize noise and ensure maximum quality when delivering to the sound system. Channel B outputs through a 3.5mm stereo jack. A dedicated headphone output provides high output power and includes a selection switch for listening to either A or B channels. The normalization of inputs makes it easier to distribute signals among the outputs. The MIX switch can blend Channel B into Channel A in stereo, opening up the module performative pre-listening or simple stereo mixing.

Love that even with pedestrian utility functions, your modules are anything but pedestrian
Thank you so much!
Yeah, this is really the vibe I get from almost everything Bastl makes. It's not those absolutely wild modules that do something weird you sometimes see, but there are plenty of little oddities and neat tricks that make their modules feel unique.
The Ikarie filter is my go to example for this, it's "just" a stereo/dual filter, but between its overdrivable amp, envelope follower and VCA and some cute routing and patching possibilities, it's more than just a filter. I like having modules that are perfectly comfortable being "normal", sometimes I just want to slap a low-pass on an oscillator, but that also invite me to experiment and find sounds I wouldn't have otherwise
Really smart update, this looks great for all types of systems 👏
We hope so! The original CIAO has some quirks we have addressed with this new update and we added more!
Wow thanks. I really didn't know I needed this!
Haha we are glad you agree!
Great presentation!
Your modules & designs are always wonderful & very well thought out !!
Thank you Nils!
my pleasure ;)@@bastlinstruments
I say the Ciao! is used in all my patches. Oh, wait... Ahaaa! 😁
Please declick this vo 🙏
Thank you for letting us know. We will keep this in mind for our next video
1) another new module coming!?! any hints???
2) is that a usb cable running power into that case?
Consider this as a start of a teasing campaign! The new module is really important for us!
Is the feature set the same as the older (silver&blue) version, only the details mentioned have been improved?
Feature set I basically the same with improvement
This is a great update. Exactly what I am looking for. You should totally send me one and I'll show it off on my tiny channel with 1.8k subs! Hey it was worth a try. Love your modules. thanks for Boston.
Why why why is it 5hp though?!? That just ruins my perfect system. If it ws either 4 or 6, I could make it work, but 5hp is so difficult to make it clean.
If you have two 5hp modules it makes it 10! So it is perfect again!
Basically all “small” Bastl modules are 5 HP… so it makes sense from this perspective.
