warm memories they conjure up of my own family gatherings. We
may not know the names or the places captured in these old snap
shots, but no doubt we smile at their charm. Don't forget to tune in

A time when men wore suits and tie or tie and nice shirt with dress slacks, women dressed up and made sure the kiddies were dressed appropriately after all it was a special occasion it was this way most of the time,you cooked for days it didn't have to be Christmas most families visited on Sundays after church or just to visit. Wonderful times.thank you Scott for the laughter and tears with memories of a time gone by. We are never alone God's always with us.have a very Merry Christmas to you and Salem. Because of God I live and endure my journey toward a remission of affliction which will require long term and alternating treatments to assist God's design for my destiny. ...Seeing these old photos are absolute fun because of noticing the decor of the homes with furnishings and whatnots and clothing/hair styles. I could sense being with my grandparents in their home and I loved their house which was my 2nd home while my folks were busy. My family memories are my life these days, and they always were. Everyone is gone. It's just me. And I'm strong and working forward to life and a future carrying their light. I'm blessed with a promise. God is my faith and promise for life. ...Thank you, Scott. The trees really tickle me on how scary skinny branches coming out like they are after you. They must have been cut from yards. I am writing this before it ends but remember a photo from last year my favorite is when the women are shopping carrying all their bags in the city and jumping in the street. I was thinking the same about the trees LOL! They looked so sad and scroungy skinny.
Yet, folks only paid a few dollars for a tree! Unlike today's prices and the need for a Frasier fir.

About 25 years ago my dad gave my mom some cookware for Christmas. Two of the items where a frypan and a rolling pin. My dad just got out of the hospital yesterday.😂😂😂

Oh, Scott, I am suddenly flooded me with memories of long ago when life was good and I knew I was safe because my parents would protect me from everything bad. I hope my young great grandkids remember their 2020 Christmas this way even though they arrived at my Michigan house wearing masks and doors and windows were cracked open. I loved the Christmas trees especially the ones covered in tinsel.

Dad would bring a tree home and we would point out the bare spots . The answer was the same every year "we'll put the bare side against the wall!!"
