    Yuki from VolcanoYT went to Rakata island to set up a camera. Nice footage. Anak never disappoints. I wrote that long before it began taking lives...I'm so sorry for the people in Indonesia.

      That monster died. This is the offspring practicing it power. Indonesian named it Gunung Anak Krakatau . Gunung = mount, Anak Krakatau = child of Krakatau or Krakatoa in western .

      This is it rebuilding itself, if this giant ever goes quite is when you’d really have to worry. Because that means it’s plugged up and building pressure underneath to release another massive explosion like it did in 1888. So as long as it keeps doing these small/medium eruptions. Hopefully it won’t have the time to build immense pressure again.

      Yes its the same thing. Volcanos ash clouds can create micro atmospheres that can create lightning.

      The more small eruptions a volcano has, the less explosive they will be. If "she" suddenly stops erupting for a prolonged period of time, that's when you should be worried. That means pressure is building up for a huge eruption, rather than being constantly relieved by smaller ones.

      @@adamhelton4085 I'd say this has been going on for at least 300 years. The old Krakatau became "dormant" for a while maybe because it had grown big enough to slow the eruptions. But eventually it exploded in spectacular fashion and we may see the same cycle happening again.

    Didn't your mama teach you not to play near an erupting volcano? :))))) At minute mark 0:46, was this a second eruption or just another angle of the first? Either way this is still one of the most dangerous active volcanoes in the world. Thanks for the update.

      To me and knowing this volcanoes history, you’d want it to have these decent to small eruptions continue. It’s when it doesn’t that you know something plugged the pipe and it’s building pressure for another massive eruption like it did in 1888.

    All the flying rocks are red-hot in every eruption, but you can only see that at night. In daylight you can't see that they're glowing.

      Allan Love Jr right now it’s pretty fine. If we don’t see eruptions for a while than we should be worried, that’s means pressure is being built up for a huge eruption. These small common eruptions relieve that pressure before it gets huge
