Single Mom Returns Home From 8 Month Deployment!

I received a message from Lisa LaMere-Hill on Thursday evening around 8:30 pm. Lisa's Sister Heather LaMere was returning from her military deployment. Her daughter's birthday is today. Both of her children go to Sunnyside Elementary School. So what better way to surprise two amazing children but to show up at their school with all of the Frozen Crew AND THEIR MOM! Remember they haven't seen their mom is 8 months! This is all they wanted for Christmas even asking Santa! This morning was so emotional and super exciting! I am truly thankful to be a part of this and even more thankful I was asked to help! My volunteers were truly awesome and did a phenomenal job! Heather Enriquez, Jesse A. My dad was deployed for a year and a half when he was in the army! I was 6 years old! It’s was December 13th and it was 2 days before my birthday! My dad was supposed to come back from Iraq in January! I cried so much in December because I just couldn’t take being away from my dad for much longer! And on December 13th around 5PM a car pulled into my driveway! I have had anxiety since I was 4 and I was crying because I was worried!
Somebody comes out of the car and I couldn’t really see who it was from where I was standing and I was crying and I was having a panic attack!
When I finally stopped crying (which was like a few seconds later) I finally realized who it was! It was my dad who came back early from Iraq because my mom and dad lied to me when they said it was in Jan when he came back! When I finally realized who it was I broke down and sobbed my head off!!!

My brother ame back a couple days ago from Boot camp, and he was gone for at least two or three months, now that may not seem so bad, but was in Germany for a month, a well as he wasn't there for my birthday like he usually is. He has been gone for four months in total. Though I wasn't there when he came back I saw him the next day, my brother and I aren't really related, but I missed him. In a month though, he is moving away. Thank you for your service brother.
