I recently joined band going into sixth grade, and finally was able to play my instrument. I thought I would never be able to play, yet I practiced this every opportunity I had and memorized it. This helps so very much. Thank you💕
I’ve been on clarinet for about 4-5 years. I had to switch to Alto for marching season because all our alto players graduated. I have a lot of experience with many instruments so switching wasn’t too bad. However I’m a senior now and I have been getting pretty good at the instrument. I want to surprise my band with this for our Christmas party. I’m excited because they have no idea I’m learning it- they thought they escaped the song and yes they did for a bit because I was new…but now I will do the saxophone nation justice and play it with one of my old friends who played last year as a alto sax player. We ride at dawn! I’m going out with a bang and a careless one at that 😏😉
I must say, this is the best and most friendly channel for beginners to learn sax. My 11 year old son is learning careless whisper right now at this moment. Our goal is learn to play the whole song in this spring break. I can’t thank this channel enough.
When I found this channel it was like a miracle I was a switching clarinet player and I was the last to get my sac so I was very inexperienced compared to the other students that switched. I am now one of the best sax players in this band
I can play 3 instruments, and I’m having a difficult time making a good tone out of an alto sax…this video helps! PLUS it’s pretty easy to practice my tone here, thanks for the video 😍
My son is 10 and just got into band and gets to play the sax. He LOVES 80's music and was so excited to see this video. Please keep making more of these videos with those epic 80's sax solos.
Along with most others, I am in the sixth grade and am the best (likely from saxplained) thank you saxplained for helping me continue my saxophone journey!
Thanks alot Saxplained, I have been watching your videos for a long time and I have learned many amazing songs and I Believe that without you the world would have alot less saxophonists🎷🎷🎉. Dearest regards (ps could you make a special request song: Dancin By Aaron smith)
I joined band in the 8th grade got an alto sax then transfered to tenor but all throughout the time I've been in band I have never found a tool like this to learn I was so happy when I started watching this channel it helped me learn what never thought I could
I play clarinet but recently I've been trying the alto sax. My dad's saxophone still works so I've been using that, and I really like your tutorials. I might have to switch in the future for jazz band bc the highschool doesn't let clarinets join. So I'd be playing sax for jazz band and probably sticking to clarinet for regular.
OH MY GOD.. Thanks so much for this! I *was* a trombonist, I switched to Saxophone today! It's the SECOND trimester and we are advancing into bigger music. This made it hard to switch a whole clef and fingering system. I'm so happy I seen this. I can finally catch up and master notes with your channel. THANKS SO MUCH!
My Aunt passed away recently and her favorite song was "enkeleitä toisillemme" by a finnish musican and i just loved the way the sax plays on it and i was wondering if you could do a big favor and make an tutorial gor that song. I realy love the way you make these vids and its very easy to play along👏 But i would appreciate if you could make an tutorial, it would mean a lot to me❤
This is amazing and so much easier way of learning for an absolute beginner like myself. Thank you so much. Could you provide notations for Bollywood songs?
i have a question in 0:14 you play C# by only pressing the octave key and blowing. However, in 0:52 you are not pressing any keys it seems? how does this work?
Ah okay I'm still kinda stuck at giorno theme sax tutorial because I don't really know when to take a breath and when I play the song to my friends they say that I need to make it sound more energetic. Do you have any tips regarding those 2 issues?
just wanted to let you know that you can’t just copy over the same notes for alto and move them to tenor. alto is keyed in E flat and tenor is keyed in B flat, so you can’t use the same notes. the original careless whisper is keyed in E flat specifically for also saxophone, but if you’re going to write it for tenor you have to transpose the music so it is keyed in B flat.
I just started saxophone like a month and a half ago, and I can now play careless whisper. Its not perfect, and the C# are not working at all, but I'm getting there. And I could only play mary had a little lamb before this btw
Saxplained for careless whisper... a small error shows on the video... when playing a C, the note does not show as it should. Thank you for helping me playing.
I’m learning to play this for my boyfriend, hopefully I can play it for him before he moves away, he’s not a rlly big fan of romantic things but hopefully he’ll like this :)
