Thanks a lot for the tutorial. I’m a sixth grader and just started band. Instead of doing private lessons in school, I’ve been watching all of your videos and it’s helped a lot. I tried different UA-cam channels, but yours is the best. Thanks a lot!
Thank you so much this is amazing. I just found my dad's alto sax and I am going to practice this for hours each day because I am really hoping to be able to learn this. I really bad at reading music and this is the best help I have found. I am really thankful.
I was so confessed because a normal saxophone is in E flat but now i understand it and its a good song to play and its a very cool party trick so thank you
I tried to pick up my sax once after not touching it for over 30 years. The first attempt wasn’t pretty. I played this solo in high school 1985-1986 and have wanted to try it again. I got half way through tonight - successfully! Found my chops again and it sounded decent! I forgot my fingers too and your tutorial was clear and precise. Thank you so much!
Finally I can throw out all the sheet music I printed and downloaded, as it was written all wrong. Super simple, super easy, super well explained and makes learning what sounds complex very easy to learn. Thank you.

So I learned this intro from your video, went away and practiced and practiced till I not only knew it off my heart, but could play it reasonably well at full speed. Then I went to find the sheet music so I could also play the melody of the verses which was the point I realised, you've got an alto. I've got a tenor. I've learned it in the wrong bloody key! 🤦🏾♂️😂
@@saxschool Not really. Then again, the version for tenor requires altissimo which is far beyond my level so I'll just keep playing the alto version on my tenor for a while 😂

It could be the way you blow on the mouth piece the way you shape ur moouth and how hard you blow. Well that's what I think not sure if its of any help.
Just curious, why that particular F# fingering? I've only been playing about a year and I'm only familiar with F# with the third finger on the right hand, not the second finger.
