Happy birthday, Florence Price! Celebrate the trailblazing Black composer with a performance of her heartfelt serenade, Andante moderato, by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Riccardo Muti. Price, born April 9, 1887, was the first Black woman composer to have her work performed by a major U.S. orchestra - the CSO.
