I was in concert band for 8 years, and marching band for 4 years. I played tenor saxophone. I was also in choir and dance choir. I'm in my mid 40's now, and I still have that saxophone, but my embouchure stinks now so it's hard for me to play. I'm keeping it in case any of my grandkids want to play it.
I did have piano lessons for many years. I was also told I have piano hands (long fingers). I also took flute lessons. The flute was so much more fun for me. I think it was because my older sister, who had shorter fingers, loved piano and was in every competition our piano teacher could get her into. Today, my sister is an exceptional piano teacher. Thank you for another insightful hook review.
Boye hooks were my favorite until I found others that were better. Still have a love for skinny aluminum hooks. Just received my set of Zing hooks today from Amazon Australia...thought these were UK hooks, but whatever. I like them well enough. Working on a project that requires a 4.5 hook. Left my clover amour at my mother's. So, I am definitely giving the Zing a good go. I am rather liking it to be honest. Thanks for the review!
Hi there! I have a set of them in a zipper case. There are 9 hooks. 2.75 mm to 6 mm. I don't use them so if you would like them I could mail them to you. Clover Amour are my favorite. 😊 Just let me know. Thank you for the review.
Like longer hooks too. Kim I spent 8 yrs in band beginning in 4th grade. I played clarinet, alto clarinet and Contra bass clarinet also. I also played a little on the saxophone and flute. I loved band but my son's were more into football. Lol. I have a couple of granddaughters that played clarinet in band too.
I like that it's longer, yet having to adjust tension for the crook would be something to learn to love or throw it across a room ..lol Thanks for the review.
I just got the I, and absolutely loved it. Sooooo, I am getting the rest of the sizes! I have tried a ton of different hooks, and this has become a fast favorite. You can buy singletons at Herrschners too.
Hey Kim! I enjoy these hook reviews. Im not familiar with this hook but I do like the longer hooks. I agree band is great for kids. Some of my best school memories are from band. I was in the wind ensemble, jazz band & marching band. Started out on the flute, but also played guitar, also sax, piccolo, & even tried violin one semester. Once you play one the rest are pretty easy. So much fun! Have a great day Kim.
Hi Kim!! Once at band camp!! 😂😂😂. I played the clarinet starting in the sixth grade but had to get out of it because I didn’t have the rhythm to march lol. I did however go to band camp ⛺️ lol 😂. Thanks for reviewing this hook. I don’t think it’s for me, I like more of a pointy head. Way to go cranking out these videos!! I hope you have a wonderful day!! 😊💚😊💚
Hi Kim, enjoy your channel, I 'm a knitter that love using Kinter Pride Zinger knitting needles, and have slow been replacing my fixed circular with them. Looking to get an I interchangeable set.
Thanks for showing these. They probably won't work for me. I am only 5'2". BTW I played flute and piccolo in band and I am currently learning mandolin.
I couldn't use it, I only use inline hooks now, can't use the bulbous heads any more. I actually have a bunch of non-inline hooks I need to sell or gift, including the Boye ergonomic set I got when I first started crocheting.

I have several sets of Zing double pointed needles, and the 5.5mm set is the same color as your crochet hook. I like using them.

love your hat! What is the pattern? I never got a chance to be in band, my parents couldn't afford it. I was in choir until my sophomore year of HS.
Not a hat AnyJo, a velvet headband I got at Dollar Tree a long while ago

Thank you Kim for reviewing the hook. I think the head is too blunt for me. Otherwise I like it.
Kim, it looks smooth. Do you think the head is larger than the shaft? I really like the hiya Hiya brand hook where you can get singles on Lion Brand.
I also love the HIYAHIYA hooks!! I didn’t know you could buy them in singles from Lion Brand. Thanks for sharing have a wonderful day!!

Hi Kim! Thanks for your review of the hook. I never used a long hook and might give it a try.🧶🧶
Thanks Harriet
not a fan of the curved end hooks. I learned on the inlines and thats what I've always gravitated to
Bought the whole set on Amazon, not impressed with the head and thinness. They’re pretty but not for me. Love my Tulip and Clover hooks, hands down!
I have small hands so it's a no
