    for when you absolutely, positively MUST kill NOBODY in the room, you can literally just stack a ton of damage reduction by camping an arcane spirit shield, eating a penance powder, summoning a hellhound, wearing tank armor and casting Animate Dead, using Aegis aura, cycling defensives and Sacrifice, autocasting Emerald Aura, etc. at that point basically only special mechanics will do any significant damage to you (and most of them will have no hope of killing you either), so you can focus completely on getting the muscle memory down for them

    The biggest thing I can tell people that are scared of dying is to just know, everybody dies..a lot..it’s not just you..even these guys on UA-cam die often, they just don’t showcase it as often..
    I’ve been trying to learn raksha, and I die over and over and over..but my tip is to just try hard for an hour per day, you will notice improvements each day. Also use practice mode until your comfortable enough to risk the death costs.

    one thing to add to that, if you're learning a new boss and you're on full manual turn on revo for just your basics so you can focus on mechanics more helped me when i started getting into higher lvl pvm, also while it may add a bit of frustration while learning bosses personally i dont ever use a yak that way you can brute force it as much

    • @Kranon
      @Kranon Рік тому +2

      As a follow up. If you're using Revo Basics, you should also understand the Global Cooldown and when to actually activate your abilities.
      Have you ever questioned why your abilities have a square (or circle on RS Mobile) around them? Do you know what does "that clock animation" means? That's the GCD! And if you actually understand it and when to cancel your channeled abilities, you can weave your Abilities seamlessly, no matter if you're on revo or full manual.
      If you understand the GCD, the only difference between revo and manual would be that abilities won't activate until you want them to, but if you do PVM on the Mobile Client, these tips are PURE GOLD!

    A note with the defender: You can see which defensives scale with shield tier and which do not in their tooltips: for example reflect will always be 10 seconds, but debilitate will be a bit weaker than a shield (but still stronger than no shield! around 10 seconds instead of 7!)
    I use this thing constantly though it did get difficult to juggle on top of the planted feet switch so I resorted to buying that book for magic.

  • @HavocParadox
    @HavocParadox Рік тому +3

    For duel weild mages.. I highly suggest getting your defender.. I will often swap to it and use revenge and reflect.. you get more dps after only 3 hits with revenge on than normal duel wielding.. and with reflect you take less damage..
    Def is a lot stronger than people give it credit for.. but everyone is so focused on dps that it is forgotten.

    my hsnds down biggest tip is to use keybinds! so many people die because they are looking in their inventory or action bar/prayer book etc. instead of the bosses mechanics. Get used to keybinds! you dont have to use them for damaging abilites but atleast keybind your prayers and defensives.

    Another thing to note is that RS pvm is just hard to get used to. I'm still working on it. Mythic raiding in wow, no problem. I've beaten every soulsborne game multiple times. RS pvm... brutal. I think it's just something about the tick system and how it works hasn't clicked with me yet. It took me hours to learn how to consistently no food Helwyr using t80 gear. But if you're running into the same problem while learning just know you're not alone!

    I think the best way to stop Dying is not panicking and using Practice mode for as long as needed.
    Sure, you may lose a lot of supplies, but once you're doing those 150M/HR bosses casually (even on RS Mobile) you'll be glad you learned the boss properly.
    OOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRR, use Animeme Dead and Crutchbloom with Aegis Aura, Hellhound Familiar, and Death's Ward + Blessing of Het arch relics. Why learn to play the game when God Mode exists right?

    Also, as you mention at 04:20, I want to share a set of perks that can potentially help you when cycling defensives.
    If you're using 2H Ranged (Namely BLG or HHB), you may want to bring a Strykebow, which is a T85 Shieldbow that acts as an actual T85 Shield without any penalties, no, it's not like defenders, it's a fully fledged T85 shield. The best part is that you can use ONE ARMOUR and ONE WEAPON gizmo on the same bow, so you can add something like Caroming, or Aftershock, or Turtling, whatever you want!
    Personally, as someone who does HM Zuk with Ranged (Still can't do HM on Mobile lol, i need to get gud), I want to share the perks i have on my strykebow in case you may want to perk it in the future or if you're unsure on which perks to add:
    Armour Gizmo: (Bulwark 3 + Turtling 2) made using 6 Resilient Components and 3 Historic Components on an Ancient Armour Gizmo @120 Invention with Extreme Pot (1/15 chance to get).
    WHY? Because Bulwark 3 Extends Debilitate's duration to 15 Seconds (with the shieldbow) and Turtling 2 (assumming you also have 2 elder malletops pairs) extends Barricade to 16.8 Seconds. Any other variation of this perk gives or takes to these durations but BW3+TURT2 is a good middle ground.
    Weapon Gizmo (Caroming 4 + Aftershock 1) the generic weapon perk for ranged to still benefit from Grico, to also add multiple arrows stacks, and not lose Aftersock Stacks. This is made using (7 Shadow Components + 2 Ilujankan Components) with an invention lvl of 120 and Extreme Potion (1/1.4 chance).
    But yeah, these are just my 2c, i kept talking to you about the strykebow on stream Nuzz Nuzz and this is the full explanation and my train of thought, i also told Rheyo about this same thing and now he's also a happy Strykebow user :)

    My issue isn't with drying but I can't progress out of revolution, I have bis magic and bis range (outside of having bolg). But when using magic I can't get any damage from using it because I can't seem to improve my key-bind usage for weapon swapping and ability use. I even purchased a razer Tartarus pro because I thought it would help me. I do like using the Tartarus but it hasn't helped me .

    I disagree that the death rework had any impact on the forgivingness of dying. It costs millions of gold to go through the thousands of pieces of food and hundreds of potions and spirit pouches you waste on every attempt that ends in death. You don't even get these back in practice mode. Death should return consumables that were used inside the boss arena when you die, otherwise you're using resources but you get no return on that investment, and that's not fair.

    Huge warning for those going for disruption shield: if you use magic you will need spellbook swap and that is locked behind The Light Within quest that has LOTS AND LOTS of prerequisites. Get those quests done sooner than later. I grinder the livid farm and unlocked ds but was unable to use it for a long time because I neglected quests.

    • @Kranon

      That goes to show, one should NEVER neglect their quests. Maybe I'm biased as i own a MQC, but the amount of QOL behind quests is absolutely ridiculous.

    If youre continuously dying, imo youre jumping the gun trying to learn things youre not ready for. Make sure to take your time on easier bosses and really learn the mechanics and defensives. If that's not the problem you need some gear upgrades. After you feel comfortable killing bosses in gwd2 start using the Reaper tasks to branch out and challenge yourself.
