A seemingly-forgotten adaptation broadcast as two parts in the Afternoon Play slot, this classic story (well-known from the film adaptation starring Elizabeth Taylor) is about a young girl who trains a wild horse in hopes of riding in competition.
Aside from the presence of Sorcha Cusack, the play is notable for having Kate Maberly in the lead role. Maberly is still acting today, but made a big impact early on in her career when she starred in Agnieszka Holland's 1993 film adaptation of The Secret Garden.
