Guest speakers in this podcast I have watched so far, I am impressed with them. They came out of prison more mature, wiser; learned the lesson, determined to go straight, and want to educate young people to avoid criminal/drug lifestyles. I wish all guests the best, health, happiness, and luck.
@@southphillylilly Ironic thing is you’re bullshitting yourself and others with this comment. The particular city has nothing to do with how you’re going to turn out. These qualities come from parents and from within. There are a ton of garbage people from Philly and everyone knows it. Just like there are a ton of shit people in every city.
This guy….at every Fkn turn of the interview….which btw Ian was masterful…he had the right answers. It was really inspiring. This guy deserves so much credit. God bless. Ian. Excellent work
Sorry all, I forgot the part that when they got to the hospital they didn’t have a trauma unit so they transported me to a different hospital that did. How dare I forget an important piece of information that happened 13+ years ago. Crazy that that’s what some people pulled out of this whole hour plus interview. Bless you all!
Yeah that's crazy. As soon as I heard you say getting blood I automatically went to "rushed to Episcopal by car, transported by Ambulance to Temple or Penn" Don't sweat those bullshit comments. Your story was great to hear and it came from a humble place not trying to glorify or play up anything. Respect for the changes you made. People who don't live in Philly don't know what the crime is like here. Your situation could have happened to many of us. Much respect for taken responsibility and not trying to put it on anyone else. That's not what you see on many of these stories. Congrats on starting a business and hustling to make something legit. God bless 🙏
Respect for Frank's humble discussion and owning the mistakes made. Great to see a Philly dude change his life for the better and making a business that's legit. Just growing up in Kensington many people never leave. Drugs/sales, guns and everything else you can imagine is flooded here. I wish nothing but a great business and future for Frank and his family. Great pod and questions, Ian
Great questions Ian, fantastic interview. Really enjoy the random lesser known stories from people I would’ve never heard from otherwise. Keep these coming, guys like this are well deserving of the platform!
Awesome interview. I’ve worked corrections as a nurse and have heard so many stories. But I laughed when he said that a human brain doesn’t fully develop or “mature” until the age of 25 because it dawned on me that I was 25 when I left a toxic marriage. So I just had one of those light bulb turns on “ahhh” makes sense moments. 😂
As a 21 year old I can confirm that it's very much true , I don't know half of what I think I know , and I know that because I was taught that , but I'm learning ‼️😂
My new favourite pod cast! Love true crime and hearing it directly from the source is amazing! Keep up the good work and the pushing to get the stories out there!
Great interview! I’m so impressed with some of these guys and there ability to use the time to transform themselves. Don’t know if I would make it. Good luck with everything!
Ian. I love how you let the person you are interviewing speak. It makes for a great interview and you feel like you get to know the person. You found your niche!
I was in the county jail for 7 days (felt like 7 months and the worst time of my life) and I keep hearing girls say they couldn't wait to be shipped to prison and it blew my mind
I hear ya but the flip side is if I have been sitting in jail for a year fighting down a case (that I know is getting me prison time, just a matter of how much) I’d just be ready to get it over with and start moving on. I think I read somewhere that plea deal acceptance rates pretty much triple once a person has been in the county/city jail for 12 months or more.
I got to stop at five minutes and when he said my mom might’ve done something to him and I don’t know the full story there’s a lot of us that want to be there that we’re kicked out of the situation, toxic mothers and I guess on the contrary really toxic fathers I can already tell that I like this guy I swear that I didn’t wanna see any more prison shit there’s too much out there at this channels. Just got something different. You’re actually bringing out reformed people ive done time anybody who has a release date of can use that time to better themselves.
Good lesson Frank taught was chasing excellence and not women or any other bs that doesn’t bring value to your life. Much love and respect to both of you guys.
18:30 What the misunderstanding is that Philadelphia is split up into 5 different zones so when he says he moved out of Kensington to a better neighborhood he means that he moved a couple blocks away not to a different city.
Couldn't agree more, so good to see success for these gentlemen who believe that they deserve & can obtain a better life than the one afforded them... Excellent job & a great podcast..
Hi Ian, Love your interviews! 👏👏👏Another Great one. Always sharing and looking to educate the next one. You can definitely really pick the ones that regret and give Thanks for the 2nd chances and opportunities. Thank You Frank for sharing and Congrats to You for changing your life around. What really bothered me is we're ALL human and w/ that comes mistakes (some harsher than others). What bothered me is that he couldn't evn get an R&B. Ridiculous! Frank paid his DEBT and has a company w/ 15 employees (which says a lot) As well as a Family that stands w/ him. Give credit where credit is due. This Country needs to change and for the better. Thank You Ian for ALL the hard work and time you put in to try and hopefully make a change and to Frank for having the courage and strength to admit your wrong doings so others don't follow in that direction. Much Respect to Both You Men 💯
I started watching crime documentaries because I was taken Advantage of all my life been bullied attempted to unalive myself 3 times and I watch the crime documentaries so that I listen to the professionals and so I don’t get hurt or lied to and can avoid people being fake to me! DEEP!!! I myself have a very great story and did 12 years in a state prison from the age of 16 to 28. Not to mention I was a white guy and might of weighed 140 pounds when I first went down. I feel the heart and soul of individual you have interviewed as well as yourself Ian. Keep bringing light to the youth of our new age.
Ian I got a great story where I got in a police chase through 2 county’s. Averaging 140mph. Cop claimed I tried to kill him so he discharged his weapon. I was warned if I didn’t take 12yr sentence for assault with a deadly weapon on an officer I’d be indicted for attempted 2nd degree on an officer. 25 to life I ended up taking it to trial with a public defender “basically me representing myself” Day of trial got it dropped down to felony evading. It was an elaborate hoax filled with dirty police work. To the point the car i was driving was repainted. Then magically after bounding it over the vehicle disappeared. Time served was lost. Etc etc. I’d love to share the story. It happened in Grundy county Tennessee. Most nastiest unfit jail in the nation i guarantee. I was only Hispanic there in a predominantly racist county
I got shot when I was 25. Got in a fight long story but I took one through my left arm 45acp hollow tip. You could stick your thumb through my arm. They didn’t even stick it shut because it was such a grand hole. Missed everything pretty much. No surgery. Didn’t hurt either The healing process hurt a little because it would break open And the muzzle burns hurt because the shot went off close to my skin. I got a indent in my bicep now.
I hate hear this guy ask his guests how their situation could’ve been avoided when his situation could’ve been avoided. Ian was literally taking ppl’s money and spending it knowing that every business venture he put together failed. Sad.
Seems like a rather solid lad and it resonates with myself heavily. Similar background and all my charges are from the drink. I am under investigation for a incident I don't recall. Pray to god I didn't hurt someone too badly. I know I deserve everything that is coming though.
You made the comment about him sitting in county awaiting his fate was unjust. He was a menace to society at the time. He was where he needed to be at the time. Glad life has turned around.
That’s why I don’t go to clubs or bars anymore. Lord knows we are lucky to be free and have made it out of our teens and 20’s. All too often things go south at these places. I value my life these days
i really appreciate what you do and i think your collective experienced may save some young cats prison time. i also appreciate your guests honesty and taking responsibility for his actions. so true about karma. much strength to you both and all.
This guy Ian makes excuses for his crimes and this guy’s. I actually gotta go back to really hear this guy’s situation but I heard Ian’s and he deserved to be punished.

I like this guy. Did his time, didn’t sensationalize his time, didn’t blame others. He owned it, bettered himself and is on a path of success.
That's because he was raised in Philly. We don't bs each other, and we don't bs us ourselves
@@southphillylillyI beg to differ. I personally think the entire place stinks of b.s.
