Today I'll fix the display latch on an Icom IC-706 HF Radio. I've owned this radio for many years, and it's never given my any problems. Thank you for stopping by and checking out this repair.

I love my 706. I use it in the shop and in the summer I take it out on the pouch and sometime remote locations. Thank you for the comment. 73 de N9JOD
@@Darrell_Coquillette FYI I just purchased an IC-703 to complement my -706 just less power and a built in tuner. QRP, not sure how it will fit into my arsenal of radio gear yet. Should take it to a POTA site soon to stretch the 10 watt legs on it soon SSB, 20m and 17m with a 17’ whip on a spike with ground radials. Too many things and not enough time.
Another nice video Darrell, thanks. Glad the Icom fix was a quickie! They most times are NOT that way...hi hi I have the Icom 706 MKIIG as my portable HF rig. Like it a lot.. never had any issues with it so far. You need to make those wood stands for this rig display (and others) and sell them online!! I bet you could sell them and it looks fairly simple, but a GREAT idea. 73 WD9M
