Man as a Lakers fan Jeanie Buss has driven this organization to the ground. She leans on friends and family to make front office decisions. They fired Darvin with no real plan. The Lakers hiring JJ Reddick will be one of the dumbest decisions a major organization has ever made. This is not to say it cannot work out but from an objective standpoint it's incredibly stupid. If he performs well over the next two years and then poorly the moment LeBron leaves, LeBron will get all of that credit and JJ will be on the hot seat. If they perform poorly over the next two years, JJ will take all the heat and will be on the hot seat. The only way this works is if JJ is great for 3-4 solid years and maybe he will be but a business has to be run by some very special people to hire someone for so important a position who has literally no experience. He isn't even family so it's not even a nepotism thing. There's no logic behind this.
The Lakers could reincarnate Red Auerbach and if they don't win a title, people will still blame LeBron, so what does it matter who they hire?
