Nice vlog. We also love Costco just can’t get enough, every time we go there we just want to get everything. I always enjoy shopping there and looking for something new especially during the holidays!
I always try to save enough Costco time to wander around a bit and see whats new instead of just running in and grabbing the items I know I need. I end up buying more than I thought I would, but I"m rarely disappointed in the items I get!
That sort of stuff gets under my skin. My husband and I have always done all of our home projects ourselves and that’s the very reason why. We are so bad about letting anyone work in or on our home. With the exception of last year I hired the Amish to totally redo the outside of our home completely. Cedar shakes to new roof to new gutters and it is beautiful. So many compliments. And we did the landscaping ourselves. So glad it’s behind us. I picked out these new whispy lime green bushes that look so pretty against the grey siding. Black roof black gutters and wide white molding. Love it. It’s a complete change from before and it looks just like my idea of it before hand. I grew my own Crepe Myrtal trees and I cut them like pompom trees. Reminds me of Horton Hears a Who. I adore them.
We always do our own home projects, too. We've completely refinished basements, installed wood flooring and tile, tiled showers, built arches, bookshelves, decks etc. It's so hard for my husband to allow someone else to come in and do things for us. Our biggest problem is that he doesn't have the time to do all the projects he wants to do anymore. So, we do what we can with what time we have, and try to find a good person or company to help with the rest. I'm sure once he's retired, he will go back to trying to do everything himself. Your house project sounds amazing! I love the color scheme and can picture how it looks! Gorgeous!
@@JustJennifer I am getting to the point where I want all the projects hired out. I’m tired and My husband is about to retire and I have traveling full time in mind these days. I feel like we have done a lifetimes worth of work. Lol. Don’t you just hate tile work? I’ll never ever do that job again. I look down at my little landing off my foyer and want black and white marble, and then I think, no I don’t. Lol

Thank you! This Costco is much busier than the one we had in Illinois. It's taking some getting used to. However, we have a new one opening nearby (in the opposite direction) in a few weeks, and I'm hoping it will be a bit better.

I’m really surprised the landscapers didn’t “call before you dig”. Too dangerous not to. We had a friend hit a line one time and he was badly burned😔
Actually it happened not during a dig, but as they were pulling out the 20 year old bushes. The roots snagged on the cables and damaged them. They called before any of the digging parts. Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.. How awful!
I like the Costco sheets. They aren’t as fancy as my normal go to Restoration Hardware sheets, but just as comfortable. I have them on at our farm and when I need to replace sheets at our home, will buy more. Great value imo.
I am so glad I tried the sheets! We have had them on the bed since getting them (and washing them), and we are very happy! I am a bit of a sheet "snob"...I admit it...and these are very nice!

Always a great time when you take us along with you. I’m so glad you made it to the HPL Gardens. Isn’t that just a glorious place? I just didn’t want to leave. I miss being in Florida. I, too, need to make a CostCo run. I didn’t see ribbon the last time I went, so hopefully my CostCo has them in stock now. Gotta avoid those gargantuan pumpkin pies though. 😋 Glad to see you’re doing well despite the landscaping mishaps. I hope you’ll be able to show us before and after footage. Hi Christina. Yes, the HPL Gardens are so beautiful. Very happy we went! As for Costco...that ribbon is wonderful and it goes quickly! Especially the simple ones (white, green...) that can be used year round. Seriously, that pumpkin pie is enormous and delicious....hard to pass up!
Would love to see a house tour some day 😊
Perhaps once we have completed the projects we have planned. Still a lot of reno to do, however!

I love your vids, i really do. Is it weird to want to look at what someone bought at costco? NO! I'm looking forward to before and afters of your garden! I had mine cleared when i moved in, too but mine is a typical 'postage stamp' garden. It was smothering itself and i've tried to bring it back to life with lush ferns, lovely flowering plants, and so on. I never get birds in there though, never ever. I came from a garden with lots of wildlife, so no birds has left a bit of a hole in my enjoyment of this garden. Anyway! I'll enjoy the next installment!
Thank you, Emily. I enjoy seeing other Costco hauls occasionally, too! I'll bet your garden looks lovely now. Have you tried luring birds to your yard with bird feeders, a bird bath or hummingbird friendly plants? That would be my suggestion. I get giddy when a see a hummingbird! :)
