I made it with store bought shredded coconut, which didn't have enough moisture to make it stick together, so now I'm eating it with a spoon but it still tastes delicious

Hi Kajal, sweets like barfi, mysorepak have to be cut within 15mins of transferring onto a plate i.e. until they are still warm. If you keep it for longer and then try to cut, you won't be able to. Hope this waa helpful.
