I have a portofino 2021 and I know what it’s like to drive. It’s a beautiful and very capable daily Ferrari. An excellent presentation (as always) and you’ve done justice to the review.
Love this video. I'm a huge fan of the more "everyday" Ferraris like the Roma and the Portofino. Their elegant, almost understated design really speaks to the heritage of older Ferraris that I desperately wanted when I was growing up.
I went through a period of not liking modern Ferraris but their output today is spot on. I had a 550 Maranello years ago and I’m realistic enough to know that they cannot make cars like that anymore. With something like the Roma, for example, that’s probably the best they can do these days.
I really hope you are afforded the opportunity of a repeat visit, hopefully with plenty of sunshine. Despite the rain and your time constraints you took us all on a little journey that all of us would like to take. Nice job Ped.👍🏼
Had the pleasure of visiting 17 years ago - we all wandered what it must be like driving out of those gates. Had a wonderful lunch across the road from the gates in il cavalino. Great to see a great video!
Despite the rain 🌧 a exciting excellent video and a great experience you had. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us Sir Pete! Plus we’ve all seen Ferrari’s a n the sun and good weather. So seeing it in the rain was actually quite cool
Heading to Maranello at end of month in my California T, via the Furka pass in Switzerland (a la James Bond Goldfinger sniper scene) and then off to the Italian lakes (a la The Italian Job opening sequence)…. will be playing Matt Monro “on days like these” on repeat for 2 weeks 😜
Awesome, Ped! Bloomin well love your videos, so genuine and interesting. I use purple ink in my Montblanc pen because Enzo used that colour to sign his name in!Cheers from Singapore!
Good evening Peddlerz... What an experience... Just what life is all about! I have to agree with you, it is one of the most beautiful Ferrari designs... Very modern, even futuristic. The lines and curves are perfect, even the headlights and inside is beautiful. I'm sure the Petrol pooches would be right at home in the rear. Great video, proper petrol head content 👌 Never mind the rain, its just a different kind of weather 😁
Thank you so much for this video, reminds me of my first trip to Modena plus all of the joys of Ferrari ownership. The high point of my driving experience still is the F40, even though I have driven many exotic’s over the years, owned a few and still around to tell the tale’s…….Ferrari is so special, but the Pagani video remains fresh in my mind, watched it several times……
I played cricket yesterday and one of the opposition players turned up in a Lusso, what a car, it looked and sounded amazing, he had two people in it and two players kit bags, it was a really deep purple colour, i think that was my perfect car. Your one in this video is awesome, but I'm in love with that lusso
Days don’t get any better than that Ped. Truly dream fulfilling and testimony to your talent and hard work! I know the Portofino is effectively a Roma without the looks, but if it had the looks AND a retractable hardtop? Wow! Enjoy the Monaco GP (also my favourite since I was about 5)!
in a sense it was good to see how inspiring this could still be in the rain.....guess you'll have to calculate a youtube subscription level to aim for...
Hi Pete , catching up after our holiday and just WOW to this stunning Ferrari, even the rain didn’t detract from her beauty. Penny Porsche will be worried now especially as you even said where will you find the pennies from 😂. Hope Mrs P will not mind when she sees the For Sale board on the house soon !
Commiserations with that weather.. isn’t it just typical.. probably sunny just before you arrived, and just after you left. Hopefully you’ll get another chance one day.
Wonderful video … nice to appreciate all the plus points for the portofino … really hoping that one day you get the keys and don’t need to give them back…
A n achieved dream Peter but you need to go back…next time a Roma or SF90 and then in wonderful sunshine. You need the car for a week and get to the Amalfi coast…or even Sicily and recreate the Targa Florio….take Tracey and loads of film and photographs…..then loop some Mario Lanza as a backing track!! Well done and I’m glad you liked the Portofino and described what it was like to drive..not just a load of figures and pointless acceleration times. 😀😀😀😀😀Richard.
Such a shame about the weather but wow what an experience. Love the tan interior and the sound is fine from where I'm sitting. I think Mrs PP would be in her element driving one of those around!
I love an Italian drive! Many I know are worried and scared about driving in Italy but you’ve got to go with the flow. They don’t do road rage!! And and Italian van will always be quicker than you!
The ultimate Petrolheads dream, to collect a Ferrari from the Factory after a tour. I believe I'd prefer owning this car over a Roma; this is down to the more conventional controls. Its good you mentioned how the plus 2 works well with certain lifestyles, an area reviewers rarely mention.
Respect to you Ped, driving a Ferrari in pouring rain, wrong side of the road, and giving a live commentary - no pressure 😎 That Ferrari looks sensational, love the tan leather interior with the red exterior. I do not like all the controls on the steering wheel, they look very confusing. Great commentary and mega grin throughout 👍🇮🇹😎
Wow Wow Wow WTF its just gets better! I have been there many times and to the museum as my wife is Italian, driven down there the past 20 plus summers , but to get in and drive that! that is spectacular, you lucky boy ! what an experience ! magical , i will be there next month , dont expect i will get a drive though lol ! Mate savior that day , thats historical not only in your life! superb bit of film! What a privilege!!!!
It’s the underrated Ferrari . We tend to always put the F8 , the GT3 ahead of GT sports cars . But GT cars do their thing well , less harsh and as a Ferrari , still have emotion. Certainly a bit more desirable than a 911 Turbo / DB11 .
Thanks Pete, really enjoyed that. As you said, the Portofino is probably the most useful, who ever said that about a Ferrari, in the range. No silly crud bolted onto this puppy, just the good stuff. Cheers mate, enjoy Doggie Day at Goodwood, Festival of Wee-ed.
Wow. Gorgeous vehicle... everything magnificent. Only thing I worried about were the slick roads.,,in the wet. I know the drive system has alot of grab. But other ppl's don't, necessarily.
Ped, What a special experience! Thanks for sharing what is a dream for so many car enthusiasts. In the middle of your video I noticed those two pup size seats in back and said to myself, after the GTS this may be your next car, or perhaps a 911 Targa?
Brilliant Pete. As always you are totally invested in what you do. Couple of things. I see you were passed by the fastest vehicle known to man. A white Mercedes Sprinter and is that 'OMG' passenger foot plate on the options list. Put there to stop slightly nervous passengers wearing out the carpet as they apply their brakes.
I find it hilarious that the front of that building looks like something out of an industrial estate in Slough but yet what is made inside couldn't be further from that image 🤣
Are you sure you weren't in Wales and driving on the wrong side of the road?? What unfortunate weather you are having in Italy! However, it did demonstrate that the Portofino is a well-behaved car in such conditions and not an uncontrollable beast. It is the forgotten Ferrari, almost. Hope the weather is better next week in Modena, as I shall be visiting the musem......
A BIG 👍👍👍 from me, and even a 👍 from Mrs Legless! I doubt I would ever be allowed to fit hand controls to a Ferrari, so I will have to go back to dreaming. Also, my PIP benefit isn’t big enough ……. 💰💰💰
A very practical Ferrari by Ferrari standards, epic content , a petrol ped Ferrari factory content left to the imagination 💭 as Ferrari are very secretive just like Rolex….. it’s all branding shenanigans. Thanks Pete!
Felt gutted for you the weather was so bad, seemed like typical ‘British’ weather you took with you…. I would have also been disappointed with the Ferrari factory- seems all the history and magic I had imagined from childhood stories has been lost by the developments around the factory and the modern architecture. Love the car though - definitely one to own if you intended to drive it and not just own as a garage queen or investment 👍
Well done Peter to get to play in a Ferrari in Italy as you say you keep saying about the pups are you going to ditch the Porsche and get one of these!!!👍👍👍🚘🚘🚘
Would be nice to do a grand tour in this. With better weather of course. My favourite ferrari us the 288gto. I think it looks beautiful but probably not as good as an F40 or Enzo.
did you get a new Tag Monaco? it looks blue and I thought yours was black. Oh and you are wearing it on the wrong arm lol. Keep up the good work - from 1 Manufacturing Engineer to another.
I have a portofino 2021 and I know what it’s like to drive. It’s a beautiful and very capable daily Ferrari. An excellent presentation (as always) and you’ve done justice to the review.
Thanks 🙏🏻
"Not so much changing gear as changing symphony" Perfect description of Ferrari magic. Brilliant video👍. Beautiful, beautiful car 😍.
Thanks 🙏🏻
Gorgeous machine! Perfect GT car! If get a straight pipe exhaust, the sound is amazing!
👍
Love this video. I'm a huge fan of the more "everyday" Ferraris like the Roma and the Portofino. Their elegant, almost understated design really speaks to the heritage of older Ferraris that I desperately wanted when I was growing up.
I agree 👍

Great video great car Bellisma! This is motoring Mecca! Even the rain drops on the paint made your spine tingle.
Yep 👍
Glad you brought the car back in one piece! Thanks for the ride. Cheers
Me too 👍
Had the pleasure of visiting 17 years ago - we all wandered what it must be like driving out of those gates. Had a wonderful lunch across the road from the gates in il cavalino. Great to see a great video!
Thank you for the wonderful morning drive in Italy... in this beautiful, beauuuutiful Portofino M~~~~!!!!!!
My pleasure 👍

That sounds dreamy 👌👍
I enjoyed watching the Video. One of the best Ferrari Models on sale
Awesome, Ped! Bloomin well love your videos, so genuine and interesting. I use purple ink in my Montblanc pen because Enzo used that colour to sign his name in!Cheers from Singapore!
Now you are giving me ideas 😂
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 so glad to be catching a few more of your vids again Ped. Shame about the rain.
Aways enjoy your reviews from a Pom now living in NZ , keep up the good work .
Thanks 🙏🏻
Certainly the best of all worlds Ferrari and something I'd love to own!
Me too 👍

Awesome experience.
This is also my favourite (useable) current Ferrari too.

Ferrari F40…winning 👌

Cool 😎

Enjoy the Monaco GP (also my favourite since I was about 5)!
Thanks Paul. It was pretty special 👍
Great video, emotion and feelings of elation typify what every petrol head should feel when experiencing a dream drive from the factory. 😀
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great content Ped and loved the moment when the white van sped by! Looking forward to more insights to Lady P.
colour me green with envy. Thank you Peter for the ride. That was a very different look at a Portofino.
😜👍
in a sense it was good to see how inspiring this could still be in the rain.....guess you'll have to calculate a youtube subscription level to aim for...

Real shame about the weather, but what an experience to have, great one Pete 👍
Cheers mate 👍
Absolutely brilliant video thank you so much I have to say I do like the Portofino M with the hard top looks great Thanks you for a wonderful video
Hello buddy, stunning colour and wheels, very very tasty. Just finished watching the Monaco Grand Prix, brilliant race and a 2nd for Ferrari. 👍👍
Fantastic sports car! I'll watch anything from Italy and not some pile from Hyundai or Kia. You were fortunate to have this experience.
Wow dude.....
👍
Thank you Pete for sharing this experience 😊❤️👍
Glad you enjoyed it 👍

Personally I dislike the colour of the interior. Beautiful car though.
Great review what an experience

I do 👍
Wow. Gorgeous vehicle... everything magnificent. Only thing I worried about were the slick roads.,,in the wet. I know the drive system has alot of grab. But other ppl's don't, necessarily.
So much traction in the wet 👍
A special opportunity this Pete, stunning car, a very enjoyable watch
Thanks Bud 👍
That looked like a happy man.
There are special Ferraris amoungs Ferraris, any Ferrari is special amoungs other makes
🙏🏻
Despite the rain this was a fantastic video - we really could share the experience with you.
Thanks mate. Great to hear 👍
Beautiful car!! Great video!
Thanks 🙏🏻
The huge smile says it all. Jealous, or what! Thanks for sharing,
Glad you enjoyed it 👍
Ped, What a special experience! Thanks for sharing what is a dream for so many car enthusiasts.
In the middle of your video I noticed those two pup size seats in back and said to myself, after the GTS this may be your next car, or perhaps a 911 Targa?

Beautiful car. Love the engine blips when you change gear. Shame the weather wasn’t a bit kinder for you on this and the Pagani.

Pagani and Ferrari in two weeks :) I understand the big smile on your face 👍 Really nice videos 😜
Very lucky 🙏🏻
Hi Ped
Dreams are made of this🥰🥰 what more can I say. Thank you.
Yep 👍
Nice one👍
Here's to 150k subs coming very soon. Get ready to Celebrate 🎉...
Not long now 👍
You have all the fun! Also, I didn't miss the comment about the pooches in the rear. Hmm.
I find it hilarious that the front of that building looks like something out of an industrial estate in Slough but yet what is made inside couldn't be further from that image 🤣
There are some very modern buildings on site. Especially the wind tunnel 👌
Are you sure you weren't in Wales and driving on the wrong side of the road?? What unfortunate weather you are having in Italy! Really love this new Portofino M, over Roma.
Looks like you had a fun day. Great shame about the weather, hopefully next time it will better for you! :)
Let hope so 👍
the Portofino is a lovely Ferrari to be fair!! Well done Pete!! Very Jealous!!
👍
A BIG 👍👍👍 from me, and even a 👍 from Mrs Legless! I doubt I would ever be allowed to fit hand controls to a Ferrari, so I will have to go back to dreaming. Also, my PIP benefit isn’t big enough ……. 💰💰💰

Man...beautiful...all
Pity about the rain but still awsome content pete as ever 👌 👏
Thanks 🙏🏻
Yet another great video; by the way, was that a drop of rain l saw in your eye when you left the car?
Yeah. Had some dust in my eye 😂
A very practical Ferrari by Ferrari standards, epic content , a petrol ped Ferrari factory content left to the imagination 💭 as Ferrari are very secretive just like Rolex….. it’s all branding shenanigans. Thanks Pete!
👍
lucky bar steward, nice one :)
😜😂
Nice that was really nice 👍
Cheers 👍
Cool bananas matey! I'm sure Ferrari will be able to accommodate my request for a fully vegan interior these days.
Good day. Nice car, your having to much fun.
All the Ferrari anyone needs
Yep 👍
I am traveling to Marinelo tomorrow!
Nice 👌
California’s are around the £50 k and that would be a very nice nine turbo, sound much better.
Good video shame about the weather
Felt gutted for you the weather was so bad, seemed like typical ‘British’ weather you took with you….

Lottery win needed 😬
Best Place for the Best Car...👍😎🇨🇮
Yep 👍
Lucky you - looks like you enjoyed yourself, shame about the rain.
Sure did 👍
Good day to all. A fine car.
Would be nice to do a grand tour in this. With better weather of course.
My favourite ferrari us the 288gto. I think it looks beautiful but probably not as good as an F40 or Enzo.
Good choise! I think the 288GTO is better than an F40.
Perfect...the Pups would fit..!!! Get one & come back with Mrs PP & the Pups tae Scotland..!! :)
🤔😜
Blow’s my mind! Imagine yours.. 🤣
Very lucky man.
Boyhood dream com true.
Indeed 🙏🏻
You Jammy sod I am officially jealous!!!
👍
That must be wash out week in Italy - Bad luck with the weather :-(
😂😂😂
Such a shame you couldn't get the roof down and enjoy that V8 sound but I do like that red and interior colour combo.👍
Yeah. Nice time 👍
Not bad….. Colnago factory next? 🤣
👌
Yea ha giddy up!!
A Ferrari from Maranello, life just can't get much better. I suppose to pick up my next car would top that but not sure when that is happening.
👍
did you get a new Tag Monaco?
it looks blue and I thought yours was black.
Oh and you are wearing it on the wrong arm lol.
Keep up the good work - from 1 Manufacturing Engineer to another.
Still the same one. I’m left handed so wear it on my non dominant arm 👍
It would good if you could get a Roma for a while. I'd be interested to know if it is just a coupe version of this or something different.
The original plan was for me to have a Roma 😬😜
@@PetrolPed If you had been in the Roma, the sun would have been out. Sods law!
Belissimo ❤️
Hi Ped 👍👍
Hi 👋
Much nicer than a Roma!
