Loved it, on SO many levels! Especially last scene❤️More biting humor as well👍your list is perfect🙌👏 I rewatched entire series pre-New Blood❤️
Do a Top 10 or Top 20 Dexter villains… this list would’ve been better than THIS top 10 Dexter list
When Dexter screamed: "...Tell me what you did!!"
It reminded me of the first season to the guy who Dexter screams to: "Take a look at what you did!!"
At that moment I thought it was really getting full circle.
Never seen it
As a HUGE Dexter fan I still haven't gotten over Rita's death scene. Definitely the most shocking...
While her death scene was pretty well done and impactful, I found her character on the show to be fairly bland.
That being said, it was ten times better than her character in the books, where they took 7 novels to kill her off.
@@agentcalifornia3587 I feel her character was supposed to be bland in order to juxtapose dexters personality
Rita’s death scene? What about the time where that killer at the 8th season cut that kids head open
@@AJedits310 I think he means shocking as in unexpected
@@Georg3Nada When you put it that way I totally agree, that was unexpected.
Rita's death is definitely the most shocking moment, caught us off guard and was extremely meaningful.
I griefed her death like I never did before for any fictional character.
the thing that make this even worse the way he killed her, he must done to her what he did to the other victims0....you know what i mean
Yeah I think the actress that played Rita must’ve really ticked off the producers and writers of the show because after we watching the show all the way through four times I realized that they turned her into a complete jerk and lazy parent in season four right before her brutal murder I don’t she did but re-watching it for the reboot I realized I how unlikable they made her character right her death so she must have done something pretty Bad don’t get me wrong I liked Rita she was the best out of all of Dexter‘s love interest I just realized in season four they completely Changed her character for the worst
really well played out
@@maddycrawford555 Lol... the actress didn't do anything wrong, dumb dumb. Rita kind of always had unlikable characteristics. It's the way she was written to be. Her fate was always meant to be sealed by Trinity. It had nothing to do with Julie Benz as an actress.
For me, the most shocking part of Dexter was finding out that the actress that played his SISTER was his wife in real life. 😂
And around the time when Debra realizes she’s in love with Dexter… the actors, Hall and Carpenter, we’re getting divorced.
And now he is playing a part with his divorced wife. Scary
@@jockmcque3018 damn I didn't think about that till now
I was today years old....
Well THAT explains the chemistry between them then. I knew I wasn't fucking crazy.
Nobody:
Dexter: ''YOU SHOT MY DEER.. AND YOU ALMOST KILLED ME !!''
Dexter was obsessed by the deer, because he represented his "innocence" (that's why he was white) for the 10 years he didn't killed anyone, but that was broken by the deers death, which shattered his self control and put him back on his kills.
“Tonight’s the night”
@@TsusakuCohenatTrue but also that every morning he hunted that deer. It was so he could feel 'the thrill of the hunt' that he so deeply craved. Get as close to that feeling as he possibly could without causing harm. It was his main coping mechanism
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 that sent me
@@TsusakuCohenat The white deer capsulate his dark passenger. Once the deer was dead, the passenger appeared back.
The most shocking moment in Dexter is when Dexter walked into the bathroom and found Rita dead in the tube. 😢
That will be truly shocking
I actually cried at Rita's death. Just such a gut punch
100%.
I still cant accept it to this day lol
Yes I remember seeing that scene and being utterly shocked and not believing it was true!
I remember watching the season 4 finale with a bunch of people but spread out in a few different rooms. When Dexter walked in and found Rita you could hear “omg!” And gasps coming from every room where people were watching. One of the best endings in a season finale, ever.
It's just a pity they never lived up to that finale, after Trinity, the show was okay, but it wasn't that elite level of enthralling.
Yeah man that was a crazy moment
I'll never forget that moment... still in awe and nothing has come close to that in any show since
Show really should have ended there.
Rita was a super annoying character with her constant neediness, whining, mewing, breathy voice until Paul died when she turned into a super bossy, demanding bit*h. I was almost relieved when she ended. Freed up Dexter so much.
Fun fact: Jennifer Carpenter (Deb) was crying for real after killing Laguerta. In an interview she was overcome with emotion and they went with it ultimately keeping it in the scene.
She's an amazing actress. I wouldn't want to know her in real life. I'd never know if her tears were genuine or not.
and her hug was not in the script.
They used a real gun to kill laguerta, to make the scene more realistic.
Yeah they shot Laguerta dead for real with a real gun.
For me the best scene it’s when trinity finds out who Kyle butler really is and comes to the station and say "Hello, Dexter Morgan” I felt goosebumps!!
The tension is so palpable
Thats my favorite part too!
At the end of the Trinity arc before the big reveal, I was unimpressed and complained to my husband that Dexter always gets away with everything. then BAM that big Rita ending. Ate my words. Left my jaw on the floor.
Trinity did it after he woke up he told Dexter if you leave me alone he couldn’t care less about his life but Dexter went after him again wakes up and kills Rita
I didn't see it coming, for sure.
It felt very much like the season finale of season 1 and 3... ending on a cheerful positive note.
Then BAM.
It breathed new life into this show... they couldn't go on in this way and it be interesting.
I was honestly so happy when Rita got killed. Absolutely hated her guts
Without even watching I’m calling finding Rita dead in the bathtub after he killed Trinity (Arthur Mitchell). IMHO The Getaway is the BEST episode and season 4 is the best season
this reveal had me asthmatically sobbing and didn’t continue the series for almost 2 years
Season 2 with Lila, James Doakes was very good too!!!!
Eh, some of the writing in that finale is a bit flimsy, but it's still a massive shocker. That series has some issues with concluding seasons.
Man that episode had me cryingggggg 😭😭😭
@@Muunilist 👍🏻👍🏻
By far, Rita's death was the most shocking moment for me in the series. The irony of that day and several missed opportunities to catch Trinity earlier could have prevented her death. One shocking moment I was surprised didn't make the cut was Deb's death
Rita's death is absolutely devastating. Such a good show. I'm glad it's back.
25th like.
@@riiddisbuk2496 no one actually cares
@@WearingADownPayment Boohoo, didn't ask for your opinion.
Aaaaannnnnddddddd……..It’s gone.
@@riiddisbuk2496 and no one asked nor cared that you were the 25th like yet here we are
I like Doakes' style of talking, funny. It's a shame the directors decided to kill him earlier in the seasons.
while the show diverged from the Books Early and Often, I think Doakes' fate in the show was sealed when Lindsay 'removed him from the equation' in the Books..
They could've easily got 1 or 2 more seasons out of doakes vs dexter
and his moustache:D
Well.. We all know who always Dies first in a Hollywood horror, crime, mystery, ghost movie/ sitcom.. 😂😂😂
@@mrudhul696 who?
Finding the professor was actually dead in a freezer was a shock to me
Deb killing Laguerta was mind blowing to me. Such a wild chain of events. Nothing topped that to me
Based on Deb's character, I totally expected that scene to happen though. :)
Why couldn’t she just walk away and let dexter do it
@dikshamaheshwari4003 ya know that's a good point actually
If you really did understand the character, you know that Deb, no matter the situation, ALWAYS put Dexter in first place. Deb throughout the whole series, is the real Dexter's wife. But unfortunatelly, the writters were afraid of how the spectators would take it @@Nathannnnnnnnnn
Perhaps the most shocking thing about her was that she was in love with both her brothers at different times
To this day Doakes' death still felt way too soon. "You don't even walk, you glide", priceless lines and interactions between him and Dexter but all because of Lila. Come on now.
"Like a fuckin Lizard on ice" 🤣🤣
🦎 🧊
Doakes was one stiff man … until the end, when his charm exploded 💥
Breh, I'm still really sore about doakes being killed at all let alone by someone other other dexter. Not right that dexter always narrowly escapes breaking his code like God is on his side like he's some holy angel of death lol. Dexter should have killed him himself and tried to justify it.
Doakes is my favorite character beating Deb and even Dexter himself. It's good they gave him a bit of time in S7 but way too small.
I think there should be an honorable mentions category.
HM#1: When we found out about Dexter's mother and how she died.
HM#2: "I own you" Dexter slams Doakes in the head and walks calmly out of his office.
HM#3: Masuka has a daughter... that works at a topless restaurant.
HM#4: Debra's fate at the series end
none of them were shocking , except the dexter's mother part. That was top 5
NUMBER TWO!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!
I couldn't see Michael playing this character. After Six Feet Under, playing a serial killer...na. Just didn't look right to me. One day on youtube, that scene where he owns Doakes..., that headbutt and walk, oh yeah, i was sold. Bought Season 1 and 2 at WalMart that same day...been a fan ever sense.
HM#5: Trinity finding Dexter out and saying “Hello Dexter Morgan”
Seriously, there was no mention of the revelation that Travis was the only killer of the apocalypse, to this day that for me is the biggest plot twist in the HISTORY OF SERIES AND FILMS.......
The abolute HANDS DOWN most SHOCKING moment was in Season 4 where Trinity got a visitors badge and casually walked right into the police station, ran into Dexter and found out his name. 2 serial killers in a freaking police station!
I remember watching the season 4 finale.. With about 10 minutes left i had to leave to go pick someone up from work. During the drive I was thinking about how great the season was and all that. Little did i know that when i got back to finish those last 10 minutes I would come back to feelings that no other TV show has ever been able to duplicate.
Have u watched sons of anarchy??? Only other show to give me those same feelings
The brilliance of season 1 and the ice truck killer was how they utilized lightening and makeup. When Brian is first introduced the lightening is conventional and the makeup makes him look gorgeous. As time goes all the makeup changes to make him look more gaunt and waxy and the lighting makes him look
Creepier.
i didnt think about that. smart.
Michael C Hall is the best damn actor ever, seriously. Six feet under is one of the best shows ever created and Dexter is great as well..
Dexter is way better than 6 feet under lmaooo
Thanks for the tip. Only seen him on Dexter. Creepy eyes haha. He nailed it!
Yesss I love Michael c hall
@@christiannilsen2835 Haha awesome! Glad to let you know about the show. It is great and hilarious.
@@JasonBrand79its a silly comparison, 2 totally different shows. Six feet under finale is a zillion times better than dexters tho, I like both equally but sfu ending makes it a better show than dexter imo
Miguel was a more formidable foe than trinity, Miguel was so calculated that he manipulated Dexter, Trinity just had more years doing what he does and because he ended up killing Rita people assumed he was Dexter's greatest foe. And I can agree to an extent because ,Miguel ended up being too impulsive and cocky which was was his down fall.
Season 3 is underrated in my opinion.
Season 3 had an impossible task... match the intensity and story of seasons 1 and 2.
It's a FANTASTIC season by any standard... but put up against seasons 1,2, and 4? Going to be tough to top it.
Jimmy Smitts was amazing and deserved more credit. Trinity was my fav but... I felt actual betrayal from the Miguel storyline. They both stuck with me for very different reasons.
Doakes was a highlight. His character was on point as a typical extrovert alpha - all muscles and no brain but great instincts.
Dexter taking him down was sweet. The day Dexter headbutts him and walks into the room to be attacked by Doakes - legend.
…what on earth would lead you to believe doakes had “no brains”? the man was bright but could not keep his emotions in check.
@@sirenthewolf8315 Exactly, doakes definitely wasn’t a dumb guy.
@@sirenthewolf8315 they are cops, they all dumb. batista, joey and him, and also deb a little. But he is good hearted. But what I find interesting is that important aspect of the show is something that is not easy to register - the fact Dexter is actively seducing us audience. The fact we never know whether he is complete wrack is because we are seduced by him and see things through his eyes. If we met such guy in real life chances are we would see him the way Doakes sees Dexter.
@@munimunus6141 deb and doakes were absolutely not dumb. deb was always on point in her work but was constantly being thwarted by Dex.
@@sirenthewolf8315 she was not dumb dumb ofcourse, but not too bright. Bright enough for her job I agree on that. Not bright enough to take some real female, feminist stance in her life. Always proving herself to toxic men and depending on their affection
The perfect key lime pie was such a deep scene I rewatched it like 10 times in a row
I've still not accepted Rita's murder
same and i only watched it for the first time a year or two ago.
What did you think of New Blood? The new dexter was amazing imo
@@bug8357 Thought it was brilliant alot better than I expected tbh started off quiet slow but soon got there when he turned back into Dexter and the dexter commentary was back it was amazing
One of the best and THE saddest season finales ever
@Nazar 23 Rita was a good wife and a good woman she deserved so much better than that
Without watching the video, the most memorable scene for me so far: 1. Rita's death; 2. The "angel'"s death, where the girl was killed on the scene as an angel; 3. The woman was forced to jump off the building; 4. Zach's brain was cut out alive; 5. Molly Park was displayed in the Kurt's exhibit
Trinity killing Rita will forever be one of the most shocking moments in modern Television history
The biggest shock is the moment you realise you were seduced by a serial killer narrating his own story into seeing him as anything but a serial killer. We see him the way he wants us to see him. The real him is what Doakes sees
Yeah I feel like that was the issue in the later seasons. They kinda were like..."Dexter is just an antihero" as opposed to a genuinely deranged monster. I absolutely love the show with doakes and just everyone always being confused why doakes so loudly accuses him of stuff.
Also, to this day one of my favorite lines in the show is when Dexter comments how it's odd only doakes sees his inner evil.
@@e22ddie46 its probably a compromise they had to make for the audience, they had to make him more human to keep the interest I guess.
The Lumen story still made sense, as we see that what he really needs is to be accepted for who he is, that this would be the first step if he was ever to be healed. But the season concludes with "but wishes are for the children", as he realises its highly unlikely that will be his path. The Lumens significance in his development is clear.
But than later the Hannah story is total erotic fantasy with no substance, theres no explanation how he got there where his cover life is real for him. Hannahs character is underdeveloped, one dimensional, she is utterly immoral person who kills to get what she wants, but also she is compassionate and loving...(?) And the relationship is based in lust, which isnt lasting feeling in reality. Vogel tells him he is a special kind of psychopath, thats all the explanation we get.
Doakes was a bully. Whether he suspected Dexter or not
@@anthonyfernandez82 Maybe but he was awesome and very interesting character, I lost interest after second season, such a shame.
@@rdothl5 I might just retract my statement rewatching it He knew there was something wrong with Dexter because he's just like him
"I'm a father.... A son..... A serial killer" - Dexter
Best part of a shit season.
He definitely had some amazing lines
I loved season 6!
@@ddonald78 you're in the minority there pal
@@jessietaylor790 i doubt that. Im in the minority saying i love how it all ended.
@@ddonald78 don't worry, I join in that minority when I say I loved the series finale. We exist, we just don't feel the need to shout it to the heaven's on every TV show ratings website and YT comment section to say so. That's why haters always seem the loudest, they always have the uncontrollable urge to tell people when they hate something. People who like or are just generally satisfied just move on with their lives.
I still can't accept Rita's death. On another note, I'm so excited for Dexter, New blood! First episode was awesome
It was honestly a merciful death compared to her death in the novels, where she was killed by a child molester who had been molesting Aster.
@@agentcalifornia3587 ohhh I haven't read the books!
@@clawqween9540 you should give them a try. Only the first one was adapted for the show, the other 7 are completely unique (although most of the characters are the same)
I particularly enjoyed the Audible versions as they are read by the author.
The Trinity Killer , fourth season, is some of the best television of all time. Dexter never again topped it.
Agree, to see a comedian be scary as hell was amazing
Too true… it was gripping television
Dexter New Blood is killing it, but it's a shame they didnt add the dexter intro. it would have been perfect
Yes i notice that too.. its a trademark for dexter.. dont know whats on their mind😅
My guess is they’re saving it until the last episode. I could be wrong, though.
i know, right?
That's because the new blood mini series is a new part of Dexter, years later and it would have been weird if they used the original intro. This intro contains everything that's about the new place and nothing about his old life that was in Miami. I like everything about the new mini series. I can't get enough and wish it was a bit longer. But one can't be to picky, we are lucky they even made it at all 🙏❤️
This didn't age well.
Rita’s death was definitely the most shocked I’ve ever been in a television show. The red wedding in game of thrones is right there with it but that came out after Rita’s death. Both of those scenes left me speechless though for sure
Have u watched sons of anarchy?
I think the Most tragic Character in Dexter is Batista. He lost all his friends first of all he lost Maria, then Debra and Dexter. The only ones left are probably Masuka and Quinn. He also found out that his best friend Dexter was serial killer and pretty much responsible for the death of his Ex Wife Maria.
Rita's death was the very first time I cried over the death of a TV character.
Then............ there was Opie
@@ddonald78 still think that and Tara's death was really emotional
And for me, it was Deb’s. Rita’s death was shocking. Deb’s was DEVASTATING.
Jonathan Kent from Smallville is extremely sad for me the only show that I have cried in also my favorite show
That season 4 finale was one of the finest moments in television.
*Dexter work for the police*
Me: Oh so he's a good guy
*He's a serial killer*
Me: Oh so he's a bad guy
*He kill only psycho killer and rapist*
Me: MMMMmmmmm, ethically wrong but morally correct? :/
How was debras death not on here! I was so upset!
Rita's death was shocking.
Debra's death was heartbreaking.
tbh whole of season 8 was shocking..... shockingly bad
That moment was sad yes but not really all that shocking…a lot of fans predicted she’d die in the final season.
Going through season 8 wore off any novelty the show had and unfortunately severed that attachment - but also probably not super shocking because it was the end.
Luckily New Blood seems to be redeeming it! Also it's looking like they might actually SHOW Rita's death.
It wasn’t that shocking because she became very ill and was virtually a corpse already before Dexter Mercy kills her.
I stopped watching Dexter after Rita's death because I felt it was the perfect ending. Finally watched the rest years later and while there were some good moments, I still think it was. Seeing his son there and the ambiguity of that future.
I did the same! And everyone said the show went to shit after that season so I felt I accidentally made the right choice... but I actually enjoyed the rest when I finally watched years later. It was a fun ride!
The Trinity happy family was an illusion in Dexter's mind. It's not like Trinity knew anybody was watching and everyone was happily hugging him and having good times in the living room. Later Dexter finds out everyone in his family hates him and he's a piece of garbage.
Although Rita's death was more unaccpected, I felt for Doakes the most. He was always right about Dexter and got framed to be the Butcher for it. And being killed by Lila? That is such a shit way to go man he deserved more.
The narration over this video is awful. Dexter wasn't scared when he found out trinity was a family man. It excited him, he wanted to learn from him, until he found out what a twisted world he had created for his family. And it wasn't Dexter's killer instinct that was used against doakes when he tried to capture him. That's called survival instinct.... 🤦♂️
Correct.
They also botched #3.. rudy wasn't revealed to be the itk in the episode where he kidnaps deb.. we had known who he was for half the season pretty much.. ever since the episode where they go to dexter dead biological father's house.. true we didn't know he was Dexter's brother until the end, but we had half the picture earlier on
I always thought Dokes should have stuck around as a figment of Dexter's imagination they way Escobar did for Sean in Nip/Tuck.
Damn that would of been really good Haha now I wish they did that as well 😂
Maybe but between him and his dad he'd never have gotten a kill done.
That definitely would have made a great arc in his story
Dexter and nip/tuck in the same sentence?? Man after my own heart 🖤
The therapist thing will always be weird to me..with Deb thinking she was in love with Dexter.
Miguel was soo underrated that was such a good story line
For me it'll always be when Dexter comes home to Rita being dead in the bathtub. That night Harrison was "born in blood"
I knew before I even watched this video that the Rita incident would be number one. It could no doubt be included in a list of all-time most shocking moments in television. I still have trouble accepting it to this day. On another note, I am excited about Dexter: New Blood!
Man, Rita's death... I knew before even watching that that would be the number one pick. The first time I saw it, I was so shaken up that I had to take a break from the series for a few days.
Also, I need Dexter to come back to Netflix. It's my top go-to series for when I'm working on projects.
If you have Amazon prime it on that :)
Rita’s death messed me up too!! I couldn’t come back to watching it for 2 months! I was so shook
I couldn’t watch dexter for a whole month after Rita died. It’s still hard to watch no matter how many times I’ve seen it.
I still feel like the fact that Dexter had to kill Biney/Brian is the strongest moment in his life, rather than shocking, wasnt unexpectable but he literally had to kill the one who trully sees him as he is before hannah and I think that Biney's understhanding and support of him would be far stronger than hers as his brother.
Also:
"Did you kill all these people?"
"Yes"
"Are you a serial killer?"
"Yes"
Number 1: Dexter becoming a f-ing lumberjack!
I just rewatched the entire show, and I forgot how amazing this show was 😃 I’m excited for the news season.
Agreed. I think my opinion of the show was really impacted by the final season. I recently watched 1,2,3,4,5, and 7... the AWESOME seasons.
Was shocked at how well they hold up and how good the writing was.
I really enjoyed the entire new season to be honest.
I once dated someone, while I was watching season 1, and I'd only just found out who the ice truck killer was.
It was a massive thing for me and I told her what part I was up to, when she said "Yeah, and I was really surprised when he turned out to be Dexter's brother".
She never apologised and I was the one in the wrong, apparently, for getting annoyed.
You don't need that kind of person in your life! She spoiled a major plot point for you.
And hopefully you ended it in response to her flipping it on you.
You should have taken her blood
Best Tv-series of all time. I still find myself re-whatching Dexter and get the same thrill feeling in these moments. (exept the ending in season 8, it went sinfully wrong). But Dexters all other seasons together are brilliant!! Absolutely brilliant
Six and eight absolutely suck.
Three and five are above average.
1,2,4,7 are absolutely "must-watch" grade A television
@@DPMusicStudio Completely agree. I enjoy lumen and Julia stiles and the idea of mutilating serial rapists enough the flaws are tolerable.
I loved the Russian mobster villain in season 7, since I felt the whole "every serial killer in existence lives in Miami" got tired. While a high level mobster would be just as lethal and dangerous. Also, I loved the growing tension with laguerta.
For me it's when he walks into the bloody motel room Brian left for him and remembers everything from the repressed memory... I think it's called "Dexter Remembers" here on UA-cam
Like most people in these comments, when i saw Rita in that bathtub, my heart sank. That was the first time a show has ever made my heart drop that low, i was paralyzed and literally gasped and screamed out loud. Total shock.
I think for a lot of us, we saw Rita as this wonderful, beautiful person that made Dex just a little bit more human.
One of the things I really enjoyed about this series is that Dexter is so good at his job and so well liked, that IIRC every person that accused him or suspected him weren't believed because of the good person that Dexter put forward. Which wasn't entirely off from the truth of Dexter.
I feel like Deb's death and the ending scene should have been included! The horrible ending was definitely the one that pissed off most viewers.
I would include the moment Dexter realizes Trinity's family are terrified of him. That he's not as good a prentender as he thought.
When Trinity finds Dexter in the Police Station. The camera work was a stroke of genius.
Rita was the most unbelievable death in the series. Very well written and so unexpected. Dexter is Easily in my top 5 favorite shows of all time.
Dexter is one of the best shows i ever saw, behind Breaking Bad.
Breaking bad was flawless
@@Asignuva thank god i was expecting some fool in comment section sayin dexter was much better
@@Nopanop first 4 seasons of Dexter i would rank the same level as BB.

He can’t keep getting away with it
I think the most shocking part of the Lundy murder was that it wasn’t trinity that killed him but that reporter that was dating quinn, also revealing shortly after that shes trinitys daughter.
My most shocking moment in Dexter was when they managed to fuck up the ending AGAIN.
Deb should have found out about dexter when he was behind the plastic with lumen. I was so ready for it in that moment, but then they let him get away, had Deb fall in love with him (worst cringeworthy storyline of the whole show), and THEN found him out, which was way too late and watered down by then.
Yes, I agree. But I liked anyway... I think they were late about it because in the books Debra realizes that Dexted is a murder in the first book, and in the series they didn't do it because it could be too soon, so they got without the book references to the discovering scene.
Dokes was awesome,I cried when he was murdered
#1 couldn't have been anything else. Easily the most shocking moment in the whole series, which I think caused a sort of "jumping the shark" effect. Nothing was ever going to live up to that, and while I don't think that excuses the lack of quality for the later seasons, I don't think we as fans would have come down as hard if that moment hadn't happened.
I love this show and have watched it through several times, then finally got a friend to watch it with me. It's been over a month and we still haven't watched much into season 5 because the end of 4 and first 2 episodes of 5 have been too much for her. Goes to show what amazing writing can do to people.
The most shocking thing to me about Dexter is how it actually was filmed in California but managed to depict Miami so well (even though I've never been there, gotta say)
In Miami, actually. And during the summer months, which is why they were always so sweaty.
@@leeaycock4456 no, just from a Google it says it was filmed in California
I was always blown away how the studios could do that. I'm a lifelong, or longterm many decades Miami resident, and The shows Golden Girls and Empty Nest were also set in Miami but filmed in Cali, and totally had the feeling of Miami. Same with the show Nip/Tuck. I dont know how they do it, since, irl, every city seems like a different planet, to me.. The only time Dexter failed was during a conversation in a bar. someone mentioned the college football team The University of Miami Hurricanes. Except in Miami. everyone says 'The Canes", not The Hurricanes. Lol. Its like someone talking about UPS, and saying i got a package from "United Parcel Service".
Deb's death was shocking... 😭 I literally cried
After season 1 Laguerda was on my hit list. It was only a matter of time before the writers concurred.
Rita’s death was by far the most shocking moment
I was most shocked by Deb's death... especially after Lundy where she took nearly the same shot...but I'm no expert on taking gunshots so maybe it's not as surprising as the others
Also, 3 and 4 should really be swapped. Deb discovering Dexter was a serial killer was much more impactful than discovering Rudy was his brother.
i remember watching ritas death when i was on a flight and i was trying not to bawl my eyes out and wake everyone up
I have no idea why, but i wasnt phased by Rita's death.
For me, the fact that Travis Marshall worked on his own and was the DDK should have been made on the list.
When Lundy pulls his socks off and proceeds to eat his lunch with hands unwashed.
For me was when Debra found the box with the samples.
I’ve literally only watched the first episode
And I already find Dexter to be cooler and more interesting than Joe Goldberg
Dexter is waaaaay better than the show "You"
Watching "You" is like watching a Dexter episode from a killer's point of view, like I fully expect Dex to befriend and kill Joe in the final season of "You"
When you say first, you mean Dexter proper or the new Dexter?
@@jessietaylor790 lol “dexter proper” love it
Well Dexter is the OG, not the inspiration
Even though I like "YOU" it doesn't compare
Rita's death was the most shocking. It seemed Dexter had won after killing Arthur but in the end he lost
Man I love Trinity but if we're talking about best antagonist? Brian Moser easily. Tbh I wish the show writers had kept him alive like in the Books.
The actor christian camargo who plays moser said in last week in a podcast that Brian never died he simply said "goodbye" to his brother. It was a "family" reunion. I thought that was an interesting opening to resurrect moser somehow.
Just finished the first episode season 9 and i really missed it
Yeah dude
Is Anthony Michael Hall in it?
Finding Rita was so shocking and devastating to me.
amazing, these videos, just to know everything we know already. gooood.
Loving the new dexter series its back to good old school dexter but in the snow !
Does Dexter star in it?
Imagine the show 'Dexter' from the POV of Debra Morgan.....one day you realise that your own brother is the Bay Harbor Butcher!!!!
debra is like the jesse pinkman of dexter
as ive said so many times they should have made Rudy have a scapegoat to take the blame for the ice truck killings and kept Rudy for the entire series and had him be a final villain for the series (because who they had was just trash for the ending but hell the last 3seasons sucked ass)
Yes it would have made the series better 2 killers
Awesome list Dexter was a great dark series.😁👍🏼
I never finished the last 2 session of Dexter. This video caught me up thank you
Man I miss dexter so much
I watched all 8 seasons twice but it's first time heard their real voices 😳 ( I watched it in german dub because my english is not that good.)
Oh and my most shocking moment for me was at the end when Debra died. Still can't handle with it
Thanks…I didn’t finish watching ur vid…but I let it run through lol
You made me want to rewatch the series as it’s been years…except just watched New Blood…hate the ending!!!
Never ever tell anyone you are onto them!!!
Biggest shock was the absolutely terrible ending to new blood. good lord man
Yeah , what a let down
As soon as I saw Harrison with the gun on his backpack
I already knew what was coming next
Typical ending
How in hell the could you forget Deb’s death or Dexter abandoning his family to protect them?
If they bring back Trinity to the new show and his first spoken line isn’t HELLO DEXTER MORGAN I will throw my TV out the window.
Well, he let his son with his serial killer girlfriend so how safe he is debatable (tho Hannah is not as compulsive as Dexter, but still)
Damn... I called it! When we got all the way to right before number one and haven't discussed Rita's death yet, I knew it had to have been number one. Hell, before we even started the video, I felt like that was probably the strongest / most shocking scene of the entire series, thus far anyway! I really hope the ending to New Blood will be better than the end of season 8! I'll be watching that within the next 30 hours when it premieres!! I'm definitely a Dexter Stan! LOL and if you haven't been watching it, it's definitely worth giving it a look!
funny you posted this just after I told my mom that I had a hell of a time trying not to scream bloody murder after Rita was found dead and I couldn't call anyone about it where at the time I was the only one who watched Dexter. it still might take a while for my family to warm up but they'll catch up...eventually.
Poor doakes
