Worked great. Thanks for the video. Only issue was that I didn't remove the SD drive and carrier before I took off the case. Slightly pushed out the circuit board when the back of the case was removed, but all worked when I reassembled it.
Excellent video. I Have the parts, and tools, only item I am lacking,is the heat gun. I am a little wary of using the heat gun. Is there another way to heat the adhesive safely?
@@aliciacuoco8273 I found the heat fun to be easier than the heating plate. If you slip the tools between the glass and the lcd. When moving around just go up instead of down you should be fine
Thanks for your question 👍. You can also use the B-7000 adhesive I found that glue to be very strong, efficient and easy to used. The 300LSE adhesive is very strong also 💪 you can use either.
@@jammsgerminal176 yesterday my friend's tab broke after falling down eventhough there is screen gaurd but his screen but didn't damage screen gaurd 😂😂
My glass is fine but an insect of some kind crawled between the glass and lcd and died so now there is a bug on my screen that I cannot get rid of. Can i lift the glass, remove the bug, and put the glass bag down or is the glass ruined once lifted even if it was okay before?
Yes but you have to be very careful and you have to use a little more heat to make sure the glass don't crack. You still have to pull the screen upward to not touch the LCD.
Hi Jamms, when I attempted to plug the cable from the new glass to the circuit board, the piece of tape with the black strip of plastic came off. In trying to realign it at the moment. The flex cable isnt broken. Any tips?
@@aliciacuoco8273 some screens do come with the black adhesive. You have to check to see if yours has it. If not you have to apply your own. Now there is a liquid adhesive that works great. I’ll look for the name for you.
tried it but no difference.. the new screen is connected and I can see it when its turned on but nothing else is working, not even the two buttons at the bottom.. does this mean I installed it wrong or possibly a broken new screen?
Thanks! I fucked up though. I didn't realize when pulling the LCD out that the whole bed it lays in also comes out and that it all should come out as a whole, not the LCD first. I bent the LCD just enough to ruin it while pulling it out so replacer beware - this can happen to you, too. I'm looking to find one online so I can replace it. Still a good video. Thanks!
Sorry about that. I didn’t think it was important to mention since I wasn’t working on the lcd. Next time I’ll try to give as much information as possible

That's awesome. I'll remember to say that next time.
On my unit the digizer flex cable was glued/taped on. How is flex cable reattached? How do you get the correct alignment?
I’ve never done that before once the cable is broken I get a new one

The tape used in the video seems to be two-sided. Is there a brand or strength I should look for to fix my tablet screen?

If the lcd is good. You can just replace the digitizer alone. It shouldn’t be much

What do you use to heat up the glass??
The heat gun
Heat it up for like a minute before trying to separate it
