That last bird's effort to escape that fish's jaws made my watching this video worthwhile. In life, even when faced with impending, approaching danger, don't give up. Try your best to survive. This is not survival of the fittest as some say. The birds could easily decide to practice flying on land and when strong enough, go to finish the session at sea. However, they were programmed to go out at sea so that some of them would be food for these big-headed fish.
Inquiring Mind At the beginning of the video I was so with the fishes like « Come on ! Get the bird champion ! » But when I saw the little bird history my mind changed I saw the father’s behavior trying to save his kid he have a family you know other birds that care about him it would hurt them (and me) if he had died
It would make sense why practice on land instead of sea i guess future generations will go through so much natural selection they will transfer back to land practice.
@@xtaceemoney-w8i No because the practice in the sea selects the strongest birds, who inevitably out compete those who trained on land, since they aren't strong enough to escape the fish (since they didn't train under stress)
Lol its still survival of the fittest. They are not programmed but taught to practice at sea... Coz That's where they'll hunt for their food thei whole life
The drama and beauty of both creatures coexisting was masterfully captured. I felt like I was watching a suspenseful movie. Transitioning flawlessly between surface and underwater scenes was just beautiful. The last clip was epic. Absolutely beautiful filming and narration. Well done.
This video lives up to the hype. The breach by the fish in the end of the video, leaping out of the water at least twice its body length, all the while trying to catch a fledgling is incredible. Congratulations on a great piece, and thank you!
Something is wrong with the eco system it seems .. never seen this before in all the nature shows I've watched. ..what's next for them to graduate to penguins like some kind of killer whale up to eating humans? The birds seem to not even know that these fish a detrimental to the health and for them to leap and clear the water to catch a bird is like seeing those great whites in areas off Mexican waters... once this is passed on around to each and everyone of what is said to be a skip jack...they are sort of like the killer whales that self tought how to drown a great white by flipping them over on their back...and it's claimed they are teaching the technique to every pod they come in contact with... .
@@teddyhailey3035 There is nom basis for the idea orcas kill great whites by turning them over, and different orca pods have different languages and are unable to communicate with each other for that reason, so they can['ty teach it to other orcas (and orcas avoid any hunting tactics their parents didn't teach them anyways, they're very cultural animals).
@@teddyhailey3035 there is something odd indeed about this video. The bird eating fish just may be lose their natural food sources. That is why they find birds as their natural foods.
