Shavuot: What does it mean for us today?

  • This teaching was given on Shavuot 2019.
Rather than going over the "standard Shavuot teaching" that most have heard, we approach the topic of Shavuot from a different angle. Has the ultimate fulfilment of Shavuot already occurred or are we to expect a future fulfilment of it? If that is the case, what parallels can we draw from the events surrounding Mount Sinai and the Upper Room to these last days? What evidence do we have in Scripture of an outpouring of the Ruach that is yet to occur? We also look at the events in between the resurrection of our Messiah and the Upper Room, and how these are a perfect type and shadow of where we are now in the prophetic timeline of the Moedim. What is the task that we have been given, and how is discipleship crucial to help complete this task? We also look at how Elohim has chosen fallen and sinful men to achieve His will here on earth, and ask some questions about the nature of sin that most do not dare ask. Have we lost sight of the blood of Messiah and its atoning power in our zeal for obedience? How has Elohim taken responsibility for what we call life and existence in a fallen world?
We hope this teaching is a blessing to you.

What an encouraging and exciting message about the season in which we are living. Deuteronomy 30 and Ezekiel 37! Thank you, Michael, for sharing your tremendous gift of teaching and for calling us all to embrace the fullness of discipleship as we pursue the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

I have absolutely loved this. Did you know that Noah also renewed the Covenant (Shavuot) on a mountain when he came off the ark. The feast of weeks was kept from Adam to Noah and then resumed again from Abraham. ( found in Jubilees)
