Most cheap guitars are decent nowadays ... if you can get them a good set-up (fret dressing, fretboard conditionning, intonation and action set up). The problem is that those guitars are meant for beginners, so most of the time they will play with a guitar at 15% of its potential and quickly think "it's a bad guitar".

It's not fair to give this to a beginner, has a tonne of potential, the pickups alone probably justify the price. But like you say, needs a fair bit of attention before it runs smoothly!

Even the most inexpensive are better than anything available in the 70s that a normal family could afford for their children/ teenagers.

I'm excited to see all of these cheap instruments that are decent for the most part. I would have started playing a long time ago if the quality at this price point was around twenty years ago. If you have friends who know how to set it up to make it sound better, a hundred bucks or so ain't bad.

Well whether it's lower end or not, you still got a good sound out of it Jack &....HEEEEY! they've stolen my name & slightly altered it to sell their guitars. Bloody cheek.🤨

Damn, you spotted that already! Saves me asking Jack if he thought the only way was the Glarry Hollow way.

I think you should get, like, royalties or something from them, worth a punt.
Cheers dude, it sounds pretty good to be fair, it's just the nut that really needs sorted.

    Sir,
they are quite good guitars right.
The price is very low if you consider when you also consider that the EXTRA's goody bag would have cost you £17. So the actual guitar is costing about £69 pounds delivered.
People WILL use the case and the strap etc. (it's useful )
Sir, the finish is good isn't it.
We don't need to mention the price here and can just safely say that the finish is good.
i have seen brand new fender telecasters at £1400 falling apart after just 6 months.....the varnish FLAKING off the
fretboard and causing an almost unplayable guitar experience.
THe all important NECK seems very good. Lovely fretboard and it's Line and construction is correct.
SIr , i know of only a couple more brands doing Thin Line F holes NEAR that price. Otherwise you are looking
at significantly more cost for that type of guitar. A minimum of say £490 and anything upwards.....which is SEVEN
    TIMES more money.
Sir, i have seen the factory's making these guitars and seen HOW they produce guitars and it's exactly how you would expect.
There is a LOT Of manual hands on Labour and expensive machines.
It may come as a shock to you but a guitar like yours will have taken HUNDREDS of processes to get it from a forest
tree to a packaged guitar at your door.
Remembering, of course, that the HARDWARE also needs to be MADE.
Metals need casting, Wire needs extruding. Magnets need making. Tuning PEGS need casting.
Your guitar would be close to 300 or more Processes to get it to your door.
Even GRADING THE WOODS before they arrive at the factory......... can be 20 processes. Treating them.
It literally works out at FRACTIONS of pence per process.
Somebody manually fitting the tuning pegs is costing 14 pence per 3 minute job.
Somebody filing down the "NUT underside" is 9 pence.......and so on and so on...........ALL OF THESE PROCESSES RESULT IN A FINISHED FACTORY GUITAR WHICH THEY WILL SELL AT £37 to THE DISTRIBUTOR.......
YOU THEN GET YOUR GUITAR FOR about £69............ so the MIDDLE MEN AND RETAILERS ALL TOOK THEIR CUT. (£32)
Essentially it's a LOT OFskilled WORK to make a guitar.
EXPERT machines and tools are also required.
THe reason they are SO inexpensive is that the RAW MATERIAL IS ALMOST FREE (wood) ..... and Asian Labour is cheap...........
Take a trip in a plane and look down........... you will see that the whole worlds is just a giant FREE forest. ( Wood)
Wood is extremely cheap indeed. Your guitar's WOOD may have cost as little as 5 dollars in Bulk........that's the WHOLE
Guitar including the NECK WOOD ,the glued on fingerboard, and body wood....
But honestly Sir these FACTORY'S are VERY expensive to make and operate.
These guitars are MARVELOUS at that price.
    Thx
    V
The guitar actually SOUNDS pleasant. Even unplugged.

It's a good guitar for the price, but definitely needs a bit of work and a good setup. Ideal if you want a project. For a similar price you could pick up a second hand Yamaha Pacifica- which would probably be better suited to a beginner, or someone who wanted a more plug and play style experience
