Nice to see the youth of today getting involved in any kind of radio sport. Love seeing the hobby kept alive. keep up the good work es 73! de Ellis WA1RKS
Sweet. I’ve started using GLAARG online. I like that I can test a few when ready and not have to hold anyone up waiting for a large enough group. Good luck!
Absolutely have to use a counter poise with the Comet HFJ-350M antenna. Also, it's extended all the way out.....collapse a few sections for 20M. I use a 24 foot 4 inch counter poise on 40M. I also collapse a little over 2 sections (I think). de KD4CHW

Thanks... getting youth involved is kinda my thing. I'm lucky to get to teach ham radio at school as well, so that helps! Thanks for watching!
Not too shabby and actually pretty awesome! 🌟💙🙏💪🌟🛸
It was a fun activation, thanks for watching!
Great video! Neat little tuner.
Getting ready to test about 7 in 2 weeks. Schools out 2 1/2 weeks and I’m ready!
Sweet! Who is doing your testing?
@@K5ATA The local radio club that is sponsoring us. Hoping for the best!!

Nice to see the "child unit" and the XLY on the air!
Child unit gets on the air often. The spousal unit, not so much haha. Thanks for watching!

Good to know. Thanks!
great job fantastic station 73 from kb2uew
I was standing behind/near Frank, we had some very odd noises(QRM) going on that night.
Well he certainly wasn't hearing our 10 watts! haha... thanks for watching, Beau!
You would be better off tuning that BBQ grill than that Comet antenna.
Good idea.... #challengeaccepted
Great video. What kind of power source were you using to get the full 10 watts?
Just a little Bioenno battery. Not sure which one, as we have a couple. Thanks for watching!
What did you ground the antenna tuner to??
which battery are you using there?
It was a Bioenno. Pretty sure that one was the 30ah, but that radio is so battery friendly a much smaller one would work fine.
Put an SD card in the radio and use the voice recorder…
Compromise antenna that doesn't need a tuner, you're making it worse with that tuner in line!
