This was great. I was lucky to have studied as an architecture student in Tianjin in 1981, but we were able to go through the Forbidden City when we stopped in Beijing. We stuck to the north-south axis and we weren’t given a lot of time, so seeing the side areas in this video is eye-opening. It is truly a great Chinese treasure, and a worthy World Heritage complex.

I never knew there were Koi in the Golden Water River. Thanks for showing me things I have never seen before in this amazing place. Its easy to see where restoration has occurred. Some purists don't like it, favouring preservation only but I like restoration as long as its done properly. You can really appreciate the beauty of the buildings when the colours are vivid and bright.
OMG & Holy smoke!!! What an unutterably awe-inspiring, breathtaking, captivating, & grandiose palace,The Forbidden City, that is! It must symbolize the ultimate epitome of Chinese architectural splendors that seems unparalleled & almost incomparable like nothing else in the whole world. So impressive & incredible that I can't help feeling in utter awe of the people who had been engaged in this nearly unsurpassable edifice creation, esp. those distinguished Chinese architects or savants certainly deserve a pat on the back for a job exceptionally well done. Soundly enjoying & appreciating it to the core of my soul at the opulent comfort of my residence in the USA. My heartfelt gratitude to you,,,,, (04/23/24, Tue.)
Thank you so very much for sharing your journey into the Forbidden City. I feel as though I am walking there as you show things. The way things were made all those many thousands of years ago is beyond what I can understand as to HOW these designs were created. How were these colors also made? I am in awe of all this!

Was just there 2 weeks ago, in 5th November 2024. It was my third time there since 2008. Still took my breath away. Magnificent!!!!
I believe this should be the largest and most spectacular palace in the world!!!!!
Impressive, inspiring, exhausting and somewhat nightmarish - all at the same time
I was there 10 years ago, very beautiful.
So very, very interesting I had no idea. It is so huge. Thank you for doing this.!!
Thanks for your comment.😊

Thanks for your comments and watching my videos!
It is magnificent and

Why i don't see anyone wearing hanfu or wedding dress?
