Love this new series! More please! Armored Saint! Yay. One of my favorite bands of all time! Symbol of Salvation is a masterpiece. Saw them perform the entire album live a few years ago. One of my favorite concerts of all time! Love the Belladonna album! Saw Joey on tour for it. He was drumming and singing for the whole set. Was amazing. Beyond Fear is FANTASTIC. Wanted more! Wish Ripper would revisit that project. Saw him perform a lot of those songs live during a solo performance years ago. Was awesome. Fates Warning are great. Parallels is a great album but my personal fave of theirs is No Exit their first one with Ray Alder. John Arch was the original singer. I've heard of Quartz but never checked them out. On my to do list now. Thank you. Love UDO and Animal House. A classic. Seen UDO livea few times. Always incredible. GREAT video! 🤘
Yes, Fates Warning, one of my favorites from ‘91. I think Hugh Syme did the artwork (Rush, Damn the Machine, etc.). Jeff Nicholls was Sabbath’s keyboardist from late 70s on.
I have all those Anthrax on cassette and cd. Saw every tour as well. Love the John Bush Era. I have' Beyond Fear' as well. I was fortunate to see Priest with Ripper on Juggulator tour. Got to meet Ripper, Scott, and Hill. Great memories. Massive Fates Warning fan. Presently reading " Destination Onward " I highly recommend that. KILLER pickups Brendan. Best one yet. Right up my alley. Peace
Good stuff. I'm always on the lookout for lesser known albums I don't have. I do have a few of them, which are indeed great. The others, I'll need to give a listen.
Cool overview, thank you! I'm glad you presented Fates Warning - an important band in the prog-metal genre, a bit underrated though, check out also Perfect Symmetry by them. And U.D.O. - his debut is a classic. I liked it more than the Accept stuff from that period. Keep on doing this kind of videos! 😀
I LOVE Accept. I did not know UDO was a separate but not so separate band from Accept. Thanks now i will go get it to add to my Accept collection! I will always Crank up the volume to 11 on Balls to the wall!
Check out Samson-Before the storm. Difficult to get hold of, but to me one of the best albums of the early eighties. Features Nicky Moore who took over lead vocals after Bruce Dickinson. Not a bad song on the entire album. Simply great. Enjoy your channel! 😊
Like the gems. The Bush/Anthrax record is in my top 2-3 of their catalog. That first Belladonna is pretty solid. I like the Journey tribute and that Belladonna does during Anthrax off-times, also. Fates Warning is spectacular. Saw them, Dream Theater, and Queensryche in one show. Mind blowing! Weird fact- I actually have the entire UDO catalog and am still missing pieces of the Accept catalog. Hahah…. I’ll vouch hard for Sanctuary - Refuge Denied, their debut produced by Mustaine. True gem in every aspect. Maybe you can slip them in your episode #2 of metal gems!
I’d actually consider Metal Church as one of the better known bands but they never sold a lot or had big hits so they sort of straddle both Masterpieces and Hidden Gems.
Please do yourself a favor and check out : The Mezmerist - The Innocent, The Forsaken, and the Guilty if you've not already. A mysterious band which featured Bill Ward on drums. It sounds like Mercyful Fate as well ( even though they never heard of Mercyful Fate at the time...)
I like these episodes when you dig in your collection and show us all that unique material. With 120000 cds you can easily create fantastic content instead of using your new finds on two to 3 videos in a row. Not a critic, just an opinion.😁
First of all I never do my new finds in 2 or 3 videos in a row. There are always other videos in between. Showing my unboxing in New Music Now only shows a handful and is about the excitement of the moment. Showing new purchases at the end of a Let’s Go To The Record Store video shows what came out of the visit and is not focused only on the new purchases as it’s just a fraction of the video. New Music Finds collects together everything which always has a lot of new finds that you’ve not seen during any other episode. Now certainly you don’t have to watch these videos. That said they’re my highest viewed videos so obviously someone is interested. As long as the views are that high I’ll keep making the episodes. It’s that simple. While I know you’re not criticizing, I’m just explaining the reality of it. 👍

Cool! I hope you enjoy both!
On the Belladonna album a guy I used to play hockey with was a session drummer for him on that debut
Cool! 👊
Leather "Shockwaves", Shok Paris "Concrete Killers"
I love Leather. All her solo albums plus all the albums she did with Chastain.
@@rebeccalangendorf3121 yes all amazing. I have them all
That one almost made the first episode but will sure be included in a future episode.
Fages Warning Parallels is one of my all time favorite album. We Only Say Goodbye sounds A LOT like London from Queensrÿche.
Bought the "Animal House " album when it first dropped and absolutely fell in love with it!
So good!
The Fates Warning song "Living Life in Still Water" is a monster!! Epic epic song! 😎🎸🎵
Great series, Armored Saint of course but impressed to see Beyond Fear on here. Ray Alder’s side project Engine is also well worth checking out
Engine is one that I’ve tried in the past that didn’t do it for me at the time but it might be time to try it again. 👍
Check out Samson-Before the storm. Difficult to get hold of, but to me one of the best albums of the early eighties. Features Nicky Moore who took over lead vocals after Bruce Dickinson. Not a bad song on the entire album. Simply great. Enjoy your channel! 😊
The album was recently released as part of a boxset they put out. It’s great.
Thanks, Brendon. I will listen to Armored Saint and Fates Warning.
👍
Cool vid Brendon their are lots of great metal gems ,looking forward 2 more.
Witnessed the March of the Saint tour !
They were all in Black Leather coats banging !
Best concert on my list.
Cool! They’re a band I’ve yet to see live.
awesome video

Great feature, Armored Saint Symbol is a masterpiece!
Liked the series. If you do more helpfully you will do Metal Church.
I’d actually consider Metal Church as one of the better known bands but they never sold a lot or had big hits so they sort of straddle both Masterpieces and Hidden Gems.
Yes !! Armored saint is awesome 👍 love that CD !
Such an underrated band!
@@BrendonSnyder definitely , great classic metal !
Nice 👍🏻....the first Little Caeser album in1990 is a great album
It sure is but I’d include it under the Glam Metal Gems series.
@@BrendonSnyder true 🤘

You’re very welcome!
Blind Guardian "The God Machine",
Demons and Wizards (self titled), and Demons and Wizards "3".
For me, Hidden Gems are cds from Scatterbrain, Mordred, & DownTheSun.
I love Scatterbrain! So underrated!
👍

Wish I had gotten into Fates Warning years ago. They seem to put out desert island albums one after another.
Brendan, do you like the Japanese metal band Anthem? theyre killer

very much agree

Quartz 😊
They’re a band that needs more attention IMO!
Joey Belladonna is and always will be the voice of Anthrax IMO!! 🤘
True…but I also liked the John Bush era as well.
Bush was definitely tremendous
Tod Howarth frehleys comet guitarist album silhouette
