Powerful message: Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, symbol of eternal love, the silence of an empty Arena, the colours of the European flag, the colours of the Italian flag. Italy raises its voice and "fa rumore”
This year Diodato won the very popular Sanremo Music Festival in Italy (like Mahmood did last year) and thus won the right to participate to the Eurovision Son Contest. With the Covid-19 emergency his song has become a symbol of the italian resillience when people started singing this song from their balconies. Europvision was later cancelled as a competition this year, and a "substitute event" was broadcasted in Europe this saturday, where each country sent a video of their song. That's what Italy sent and this broke lots of Italian hearts, b ut judging form the attention this video is receiving worldwide, i think it greatly impacted lots of people. Love from Italy❤️
Why this performance broke their hearts? Did they think that Italy would send a video from people singing on their balconies? Please get upset because of my question, it‘s not meant in this way. I only want to know it. Btw: Great song and much ❤️ from Germany.
@@eingooglenutzer4759 in particular, the song says "Make noise, because I can't take this unnatural silence between us". So, you see, it was especially poignant during lockdown, when people were scared by the pandemic and losing lives every day, but still desperate to feel human connection.

The lyrics never felt more poignant , something like" I dont want that Unnatural Silence " Really it brought me to tears. Thank you Italy, and thank you Antonio Diodato .
